hi cas

im not sure what video you are trying to download and then upload but. [any video converter] free will download youtube videos. then you can re upload them to your youtube page etc. its maybe the best video converter ive used yet.. it has lots of built in codecs..the video download is a separate function- built into the programs gui. left side or top button..>

http://www.any-video-converter.com/prod ... ideo_free/

um i use both fraps and zdsoft game recorder 2.0.1.0 but now its zdsoft 4.1.2.0 its more a do all desktop and game recorder for like 40 bucks.. being im still using xp os- i still use the zd game recorder. any way its free upgrades for life just like fraps. zd dont work with all games so i have to use fraps for some.. games zd dont work with that ive found is cod4mw bioshock and gta vc.. but with zd you can also use it to stream live video over say msn live messenger etc..>

http://www.zdsoft.com/downloads.html

its other programs you can get to download videos from youtube if you google it. even download.com has some of them type programs.. its just im not sure what your needs are. i do not download other folks videos.. i make and have so many of my own on youtube etc. i have some 2,325 videos on youtube now. so..>

um i notice on youtube. folks add other peoples videos to his page [showcase video]. i guess they favorite them. then you can move them to where ever you want on your page. but will still have original owners name tag. etc.

anyway. i hope this helps some.. see ya.. :D

Hey ezeht

I download zdsoft trial and it does the job well. Sorry for the miscommunication, infact i should make it clear that i need a screen capture utility to capture the video on the desktop for web streaming video. Lastly thanks for the help, now all i need is to upload the recorded video to youtube and get it link to my site :D

cool

ya we both use same os and sp2 so you should be ok.. ive been putting off installing my w7 hp upgrade..

um if desktop recording is all you are trying to do. this camstudio2 is a free program and a good dtop recorder.. you might want it and download its own codec too on same page. downlaods are about mid page if you scroll down..>

http://camstudio.org/

any way. im sure zd has some time limits maybe water marks on your video using free version. its no restrictions using camstudio.. but i really like zdsoft i have the full version.. a bud sent me fraps- but its a lil older version but works well for my needs. i read folks have probs with new fraps but i think thats mostly w7 problems..

if you have any more problems just say so- im glad to help.. :D :9:

Talking about virtualdub, i've used it a couple of time before, if my memory didn't fail me, it allow us to divide the video files into two or more say if is too large thus allow us to burn it onto a CD

The other utiltiy which i used to use is RMVB converter which is also a good utility. Currently all i need is just a screen capture utility. Once again thanks for your pointer and help ;)

ya you can split videos with vd. convert and turn videos into photos too- to make animated gif's. vd will also make animated gifs and can do other stuff too.. but vd animated gifs are the same size as the video like 640x480- so i use other programs to do that. to make smaller and around 2mbs :D

like this. i use vd to cut a section of video and turn it into photos. then i use irafan view to resize the screens and then turn them into gif photos and then use unfreez to make the animated gif. they need to be around 2mbs to load and work well on web pages.. so you still might have to remove a few screens here or there to get the file size down..>
