Imported games are fine, if that's the case, however they sometimes use different anti pirate software than

the US version. Otherwise they work perfect. Just know what your buying. I have posted a List of all PC games before

and what Copyright Protection they use, I'll post it again for those that may have missed this.

PC GAME anti Pirate Software used in all PC games (AFAIK) read this LIST ::

Link:: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/gamedb.php?letter=all

Just look at the list, then look for other Countries (Import) all these games are the English version as well, pretty sure..

So in short Imports are Fine, just know what copyright protection is used, if your paranoid about that stuff, as many

are. Which is also fine. ;)

That's not what I meant really Blue. The code word for pirated games and DVDs is "Import" on EBay. All the Pirates out of China, Taiwan, etc. sell there stuff on Ebay that way and most get away with it. Ebay lets then get away with it as well because supposedly they are not required to honor our copyright laws. I am starting to see less of this on Ebay just recently so maybe they're cracking down on it now.

Oh ok HJ~

I'm E-Bay ignorant, I know. I don't deal with E-Bay is all. So my knowledge of it, is ZIP.

I didn't know they had a secret code there for example. Just playing, as I said, I know little about E-Bay.

Blue

However if I use it, I'll be knocking on your door as you know it far better than I.

Ebay is a funny place. When you buy something you have to look at a person feed back rating. Hope that you can trust what they are selling. I try not to deal with people that have a low rating or bad rating. Yes everybody has to start out low. I buy and sell on ebay alot. I have a feed back rating of 568 at 100%. that is for the past year. Been burned a couple of times but I always got my momey back through paypal. I like to deal with people that have a 99% or higher rating. You can go in and look at they rating and what they have sold or bought.

I know that you are out work and hurting but you can make some good money on ebay. In the last six months I have sold well $6000.00 on ebay. Yes ebay and paypal do take a small % of what you sell. If you have some older computer stuff put it on ebay. I have sold alot computer stuff. Like I said you can get burned too. I did a couple of months ago. Bought two abit boards from this guy and got one. He said that he ship 2. I think I know what happen was that I order 2 somebody else order one. He got them screwed up and sent to the wrong people. I always worry about that when you have 3, 4, or 5 things that you are shipping to different people. I did get my money back with paypal. Plus when I get the games I'll let you guys know if the if they are real or not.

I've been buying and selling on EBay quite a bit and started in 2000. Still have a 100% positive feedback rating as well which I always highlight in my auctions. As you said it's a great source of income if you have the items to sell, I'm out at the moment and used about everything "extra" I had and then some, to build my current rig last year and upgrade it to the state it's in now. I've always funded all my new hardware purchases by selling off the old stuff first. Just ask Blue... :D It really takes the sting out of buying the new hardware.

As far as getting burned goes, I got lit on fire last year by Paypal and Ebay. First time it's ever happened to me and I didn't get my money back at all either and It really left a bad taste in my mouth as well. I still use EBay though, don't have much choice really since I'm busted most of the time and need to make every penny count. Anyway what happened to me was this, speaking of Pirated DVD's. Last year I was shopping for Seasons 1-5 of The Shield on DVD. Found a pretty good price from an EBay Seller with 100% feedback who had been doing business on Ebay for quite a while. So no Red Flags went up in my head as I can usually spot the scams from a mile away. The item was also priced well, but not too cheaply, so it did not appear as a "too good to be true" deal which would have been another Red Flag. Well I won DVD Sets for $120 or so and when I received them they were Chinese Knock-off Imports which are of much lesser quality because they take the legitimate dual-layered DVDs and compress them down so they fit on a single-layer DVD. Quality is bad and you're lucky if all your discs play without freezing up.

Anyway I contacted Paypal and EBay and filed a dispute because item was not as described and not a US Release. It also turns out that the person I really got these from was in China and had stolen someone elses Sellers account and listed under their name. Ebay actually told me this in one of their responses to me as I was getting bounced back and forth from Ebay to Paypal. Longer story short, I got the run around for awhile from EBay and Paypal, and eventually they said I could get a refund from the bogus seller in China and the only way that could be done, was to mail the DVDs back. Yeah right! :x Then I would be out another $25 bucks for shipping and the guy would have his pirated DVDs back again which he could resell. Oh and Paypal said I could not be refunded my money because the merchandise was actually sent to me and received, even if it wasn't as described. Getting pissed all over again if you couldn't tell.

Other than that incident, I've been doing business since 2000 as I said without any problems at all except for the occasional dead-beat Buyer that I have to chase down for payment. I do all my sales now using Buy-it-now with immediate payment required so that isn't as much of a problem as it use to be.

I know what your saying and I do like paying with paypal. I once paid with a moneyorder and got burned. I didn't get that money back. I just kiss that one off becuae as soon as I send the moneyorder the guy was kickoff of ebay. I did get one time a whole set of FarScape dvd and it has differnet code. So I knew this before I got them. I have a dvd player that can play any code. They half the price of the us/canada ones. There is one other thing that pisses me off is shipping. How people charge alot for shipping. You got to be careful what you do on ebay and hope everything goes right.

Yeah what you're saying about the astronomical shipping fees some charge is correct. However from what I've seen most of the people that do this will charge less for the item itself, so it kind of balances out in the end. They do this primarily so they don't have to give Ebay as much money since Ebay get's a cut of the seller's listing price. Although you do also get a few sellers which want to screw you and Ebay with the shipping charges.

OK Blue, I'm done jacking your thread. Back to our Regularly Scheduled Program ...

Nice holographic imaging effects in this game ... :ugeek:
