I use FRAPS for in game screen shots. It's free. For other screen shots (like your Desktop) you can use Gadwin Print Screen. It lets you use the "Print Screen" key. Chris.

The only thing that I notice was when you go across the screen the mouse doesn't move as smoothly as in Vista. What I mean is when you move the mouse across the screen it can be a choppy. The games run great with to lag at all. The only 2 games so far that I have tried are Company of Heroes & Anno 1404. It's only when you move the mouse.

Now thats, that.... :yahoo:

This Guide is the best for WIN 7, he covers a lot of games as well, Call of Juarez : Bound in Blood is Great smooth as silk,

Don't care for the little Cowboy hat Icons though, or the Gun Slinging Mechanics in BIB.

Like the Original better except for the GFX are Uber Nice in COJ2 (BIB)

ok i have a issue and it is with fraps not games well so far beside my gfx card/driver for it.... well long story so far thought i was done and they was too....

any ways anyone using fraps 2.9.9 or fraps 3.0.0 right now? need to know and if so have you tried taking any in game long 1 time videos with it? and when i mean long 1 time video i mean start taking video with it and not stopping till after 15 minutes plus+ ??

the reason why i ask is this so far in win7 64bit 7600 build which is win7 ultimate 64bit < that iw what it comes up as when i boot up.

when i start taking in game video for a long time 15 minutes, which is just a example i am using. the video will be in my fraps video folder. and will in stead of being 1 large file so i can break ir down and edit the way i want to with window movie maker.

it will now be 9 or or 3.9gig frap video files which will be useless to me. since the window movie maker for win7 will not let import more then 1 video file into it self at a time. well for me it will not.

has anyone else have this happen to them that use it and if so how did you get around it and or what did you use to edit your frap video file to make your video file?

cause i need to know so i can make my video file. cause i have deleted a lot of killing floor video which would have been killer video for all to see!!

with the new weapons and the 1 new specimen and the 3 new maps are off the hook. any help would be appreciated .. :mrgreen:

I only use FRAPS for screen shots, so I'm no help. :(

well that sucks and i sent in a report to fraps and they ask for a dx diag txt file and that was last wk and so far they have not sent me back anything yet. and that sucks big time and now with dirt 2 i cant take any in game video at all now which sucks cause i want to so bad !!

cause with a video you would be able to see much more of the game then just screen shots instead ya know. and i just made a new thread on the game as well with just a few screen shots for now. but so far even after a 2nd format still i can not view any frap video file made with fraps on my win7 at all !!

but if the frap video files where made on my vista side and fraps i can view them with no problems. so i am lost and i have no ideas of what to do or to install. i have posted a thread about my problem on another forum i go to and so far no one else has posted on it but many have viewed.

it sucks to have fraps and not to be able to have full use of it unless i go to vista to which i will have full use of it but i dont because i want to be able to play in dx11 in dirt 2

Personally I don't think FRAPS is the issue, what do you both have in common?

Just a guess and probably off base , but could it have something to do with your gfx card drivers?

Or do NV cards do the same thing? I really have no clue, I go to Game Trailers to watch game vids, or You Tube.

Sure I'll watch vids you guys make as well. But I am like Chris, I just use Fraps for screen shots. Vids are cool and all

but then kinda a hassle, then again if your into it, that''s cool. I never have made a vid. Eric makes tons of them,

all on You Tube, some really nice ones too. How long has this issue been going on? I remember Scavy talking about it,

and I that was with his NV card so, as I said which card or drivers you use may not have anything to do with it.

Here's a website/page devoted to FRAPS, how too etc. :: http://forums.techarena.in/guides-tutorials/1139661.htm

Also FRAPS for WIN 7 :: http://techgage.com/news/fraps_30_relea ... irectx_11/

So what does all this mean? Have no clue :D Maybe it has something to do with DX11?? In Win 7??

I know it must be frustrating, Scavy does a lot of vids, he and Eric know the most about it, from what I gather

through the years...not that other s don't but those are two guys I know that are into it.

A visit to Window Seven Forums is my suggestion, that place is packed with info about Win 7 and they have a Sister Forum for Vista.

Has anyone tried Compatibility mode? Win XP sp2?? That usually works for game very well. Older games that is. Even Vista sp1 is good.

I'm sure FRAPS is aware of the problems, weather they do anything is another question. In time things usually will just work again by updating

whatever needs to be updated, like Fraps, or gfx drivers etc. :9:

Google is a safe bet to iron out the problems. No? I fix everything with Google searching. If I can't it as I mentioned fixes itself in time.

well Blue like i said before, or i think i did some where in this post or other post. FRAPS tech support in 1 of there email reply said that 1 of there test rigs that runs a 5870 and win7 has had the same issue so they do know about it and are trying to figure it.

till then i can not take any video in game till then or if i boot into vista with same hardware and driver versions and i can video then and then only. and having the most newest official driver doesnt mean jack cause it still doesnt work yet.

cause i know i tried them and still no go yet even with the 10.1 hot fix driver which is the newest driver out. all i can hope for is FRAPS to come out and fix this dam thing and i need to send in a email telling them it still doesnt work even with the 10.1 HF driver.
