So this morning I was checking Gmail. I had never looked at my spam mail box, noticed a few hundred things lurking around in there. So, I figure, what the heck. Most was online pharmacy, a bunch from one particular website "OEM Authorized Resellers" so 99% of them got deleted. But these are curious:

What prescriptions? What subscriptions? What billing? I haven't ordered anything? What the hell is all this bull shit? I sure as hell didn't buy Adobe CS4. Havent' been to a doctor for a prescription in years. Only 2 mags I subscribe to are Maximum PC and Discover and I pay them direct.

And I'm sure as hell not going to open any of those e-mails. Could be more bull shit lurking inside. Ahhhhhh, it must be Monday if this is Lomita. Chris.

I've too encounter similar email before but lucky i don't order stuff online so once i saw those i know is spasm or gimmick

I have a list of like 40 and growing of spam blocked emails....

Check the sender account name.....generally the ones I get start with PRE

Preorder.com
prechaos.com
presame.com
predifferent.com

and on and on.

What really pisses me off is the emails with the wrong date....like generally 1 / 13 / 38

Or worse, like I mentioned before, the ones that show up days after the date they should have and I end up with unopened items from days / weeks before - GMAIL offers this service, and Id like to kick their A----s!

But lately Moms emails have been doing this, there is a problem with the email server on her ISP. So, I get calls where she is like "Did I say something to make you mad? You havent been answering my emails" then 2 hours later 2 emails for 4 days earlier show up.

By the by....if your ever wanting to try any of those items that say..."Just pay shipping" use those disposable VISAs...I generally have 3-6 laying around from where I bought computer items and they got less than $10 left....then I buy those ACIA BURN or other items for $.99-$2.99 using them, so they cant tack on other items or charges....get what is left off the card at Wally World by purchasing a gift card and using it to pay for the amount I am loading onto it.

Then I never have r to worry about any of those like you got Chris...cause I know that they aint getting squat...even if they stole my numbers

My credit card is a pre paid one that I got a few years back. It's actually kinda neat, I load as much money as I want to spend (costs $2 to reload the card) then I spend the $$$ and usually only leave $10 or $20 on the card for an emergency grocery run or gas. It's thru a company called "Net Spend" (parent bank is Meta Bank which is who I link my Pay Pal with). It was a free set up because I put $250 on the card when I got it. $2 reload, but each transaction is $1. But no interest charges. I also have a savings account linked thru this card that pays 5%. Not bad these days. Chris.

Oh, I really got a kick on all that spam that told me to "please click on the attached........." like, right, you really think I'm that stupid? NOT!

Did you order a FREE tail Pack of Extenze?? Or Enzyte, something simpler, if so they sell your email addy to other places, like pharmaceuticals.

Well, I'm bringing this Topic back, with a different kind of WTF Now?

Saturday night, about 1 a.m. I'm on the Net. All of a sudden, the CPU meter goes wild, and the Task Bar turns opaque, tells me that something just started running. I know it's not Defrag. So I bring up Task Manager. :shock:
