The fact that he got 9months had to do with his country / governments beliefs. I would have bet that Bush requested that he be left to his freedom as that was one of the things we are trying to achieve there. The right to have an opinion and express it in a non-deadly manner without expecting to be killed for it.

So now, he is out and blames the US for his torture while behind bars and feels that since he was not killed while behind bars, where it was easily explainable, that now the hunt it on.

I say its the sand, it could be the ease of drugs, it could be the water, it could be the lack of sexual gratification....but something makes people absolutely crazy over there.....1000virgins when your dead seems like a waste, but something they live to die for....odd.

It was 2 shoes, IIRC. And in Iraq, that is a major insult. 9 months? Why didn't we bring him back here, or send him to Guantanamo? He assaulted the President. You or I would get life in prison if we threw anything at the President! If not just shot on the spot.
