Yup, I couldn't get any temps in EVGA Precision either as noted in my previous post until I did what I said in the last post. Weird is right. They're working great now though. Yours started it working after Windows Update ran? Weirder. :D

well that is not what i am 100% on yet. it could be that or the reboot or 2nd reboot fix it for me over all. so who knows not me or M$ RoFL !! or nvidia for that matter. but battle station pacific does look ok yet. oh did i say i got a new game? oops i guess the new desk top pic i post last wk could have been a hint to. but it is a fun game since it is a air/above and below sea sim roll into 1 game. and you can play the Japs or the Americans.

so far i finish the Jpas and won. so now the Japs now own Hawaii RoFL !! now im going the other way. photobucket has a bunch of my pic on it right now. if anyone knows to get to my album you will see it. and yeah it is worth the price since it is sp and mp. ive only done mp so far.

so far this driver has given some bad vibs so far. but i guess if you uninstall the stereo crap after you reboot the 2nd time. it helps. i dont know if it does or not with the stuttering in games like i did with this set. but i went back to the 186.24 which are a leaked beta driver im not sure if nvidia has them posted or not but i got them like so many other driver i have. for xp and vista alike.

and if you uise the new driver sweeper 2.0.0 and get the DOS prompt box with only it saying C:\nvidia y or n = pick y cause if you pick n you will need to reformat vista or what ever OS you have. i was smart enough to pick y and boot into vista rofl !!

but they release a new version which fix it 2.0.5 and now it works great. since i am here to tell you and it works better then it has ever before. no more safe mode to uninstall drivers for me. :9:

Scavy I've been yo-yo 'ing back and forth myself and now I'm back to the 190.38's. Also figured out the Temp bug thing in EVGA Precision Tuner. I lost my temp monitoring again after I reloaded the 190.38's, this time it was the WHQL's. All it needed was a reboot I guess, like you hinted at. Last few driver sets from Nivida has dropped the reboot screen at the end of the driver install for some reason. Guess I got a little spoiled. :)

I'll have to try the new Driver Sweeper because I'm still using 1.whatever and never tried the 2.0. I also ponied up $10 for DriverCleaner.Net a while ago and that works well too.

These work fine in Dark Sector and also Fallout 3. I can't tell if the new setting Performance Mode under Power Management in 3D Settings is helping or not.

oh did you see that they have a newer version that came out all most the next day? 2.0.5 for driver sweeper.a few people end up reformating there pc cause of something i am not sure of what it is now. from some of the other forums i go to.

what i thought that was at the cause was for something else.but im glad i didnt have to reformat my vista after using driver sweeper 2.0.0 :o that would have suckd! then i would have stuck in win7 build 7600 then lol

Yeah, I did catch that in your post. Glad I didn't try it when it first came out. I'm hoping the people I steered to Driversweeper 2.0 didn't get screwed although I did say I had never tried it. Just would give it as an option.

Finally I got these drivers to install but Frontlines is worse than ever. The 190.52's .62's .XX's simply would not install. Maybe I'll go back a generation or so. Not being a real fun Monday. :? Chris.

I'm using the 8.16.11.9062 WQHL Drivers and they work fine, I don't ever get excited about drivers unless it's some major, like when

NV Released the drivers that increased FPS in a Gang of new Games, you know the one that we used playing FarCry2, !0&-38% FPS in about

6 new games, now that I get excited about!! :D

So far so Good with these drivers, I don't use Precision tool anymore as my stock clock is great @ 713, so don't mess with it anymore

unless I want to check my Cards temps. I got the PT Monkey off my back ;) LOL!! I used to sue it constantly with my 260 card. No more of that

I just load a game and go!! Try and remember to turn on Fraps, first is all. So I can take a Million screens I never do anything with, Great fun..

 I have about 60 GIGs of Fraps PIX, time to clear them out, but then somebody will play a game and I wanted to use one and it's gone, oh ell Screw it.

Blue

I think I feel a NAP coming on just made two Breakfast Burritos and I'm ready for LA- LA, land. :P

Heck here's one of my Wolf pic, he he...
