ha ha.. do ya think what we bought as retail was buggy.. i hate to think how bad this might be.. but if it works it might be cool. and id guess it will be original dx8 and lighting etc. but it has cut out stuff too. so it might be cool after all--

hmm.. no stalker thread here its ok. we have 1 now at abithelp site..

i have played stalker soc some 40x with different patches and mods and vanilla. and i have a complete game play through with patch 10005 @ master skill level on youtube.. stalker could have been a lot better-- less buggy and consistent for sure but gsc and its devs suck.. moders did help out stalker a lot.. and patches did help a lil along the way.. but most patches broke as much as they was said to fix. and later patches changed weather to all dark and gloomy all game etc.. if you mastered the skills to keep stalker from crashing.. you could enjoy the game.. i love the game.. but it craps in my floor too too often so i took it out to the yard and shot it in the head..

well i dont play it stalker any more.. i might wait and see what people say about this early version.. i might give it a try.. but i dont think i will bother.. and oh ya.. id say avoid clear sky at all cost.. unless you are just a true fan boy for stalker and or a glutton for punishment and like to be cheated out of your money.. but both stalker and clear sky for 20 bucks and under might be worth having.. 10 bucks each--ya they was only worth 10 bucks to start with so you cant go wrong..

I love Stalker really, as long as it's modded, otherwise forget it. The best thing it has going for it, is the GFX

slow and choppy as they may be. I think Scavy has a Thread about ClearSky? Or no? Is TS still kingpin @ GSC??

yeah i to have been reading different topic in different forums on that build. and then when GSC louded it up to there ftp server last week. but you were only allowed to dl 1 file at a time. which sucks. and yes Blue TS is still kingpin there. with his little but huge ban/clan he has there. i haven't been back there yet for some time now. since i am still waiting on the next ABC Inferno 2 mod to come out this month.. but yeah if you do get this, everything has to be adjusted with in the LTX files. and i mean everything!! which sucks but i guess they used it to work on the building of it. so it was easy for them to just do that. but i did buy clear sky so i have the full set now. SoC and CS

dam i sure cant wait for this next version of the ABC inferno mod to come out. the mod maker just posted a new video of it. man i wish he would get done making sure everything is working in it.

now you can have music while you play that is way cool. this dude is way talented thats for sure. some game company needs to grab him up and start paying him for his work. his mod ABC and ABC Inferno v1 and v1.1 and soon v2 will be the best mods out for STALKER SoC hands down. and he doesnt have a team working with him. he is alone doing this so you know hes got to be good.

they did the final touches to it last wk and it look good now compared to what it use to look like.

well this wk i decide to install this on vista and give it a go. well it sure does play well i wonder why most said it didnt? maybe cause we didnt had SP2 maybe?

anyways got my mod in and started over from the begin.and i cant wait for that new mod either yet. dam his tester have found some problem so he fix them. but his latest vid showed some real nice new stuff. but he has had some set back. on a personal level so it will be set back some more again. oh well give me more time to find a good gfx driver to use here in vista.

lol since a bunch just came out or found out a few 186's and some 190's all this wk so yeah i am busy..

Ya I liked that mode- I might be able to play it ok on this screen.. Hmm maybe complete 09.. " Complete 2009 Stalker".

Maybe patch 04 will be ok with complete- works with priboi- I think 04 is the best maybe- more mod options any way.. I will go read on it. I have all the patches and some mods and fixes- heck saved game file' on external hdd. Never played complete tho- so need that..

Oh ya- I for got. Some of them mods have stupid messed up scopes. I can read, I have removed parts of mods from mods before- added scope chit etc..

My vid card will not like it much- I can lower settings tho. I love my stalker games- buggy but more waiting they are hard on my system well vid card in w7. Maybe stalker will not be so bad it is dx9- I never could max it in xp either. Guess I was more talking cs and cop I have played them in w7 but not soc. They or my vid card is not really happy- works but I have to lower settings more than in xp. so..

Hm Guess I could play cs and cop in dx9- Hmm read a tweak guide and see what each lil video setting does for like dx10/11 and the tips are nice too..

yeah i tried that Priboi and the complete 2009 as well but both still fail against abc inferno 1.4 mod over all. but so far inferno 2 is on the back burner and maybe for good. cause the mod maker has last stated that he really hasnt had time to work on it yet and he is playing bad company 2 which i now have him on steam, but he hasnt showed up on that for some time now which sucks cause i want to play his new mod

It is all a fail.

I installed the game it runs fine- better than fine best it ever ran- everything maxed out and still 60 to 110 fps or so mostly 75-80 maybe. But the patch will not install.

I try to install the patch 05 I get a pop up saying compatibility manager blah blha, This program or app might not have installed right- then 2 buttons- 1 says do you want w7 to fix it- or 2 the program is installed? WHAT!!!? Gives me the option to click either button- It does not know if it is installed or not- how am I to know- I click fix it- another pop up do you want to install this- some programs can hurt your pc what ever warning- I say install or yes. The pop up goes away then nothing.

I try in every os in compat tab everything- it will not work- downloaded the patch from a diff site still nothing. I guess I have to give up. Patch 05 and stalker soc is said to work with w7- I have been at it and reading and testing for like 9 hours- W7 better than butter

I have tried everything seems I am the only person on earth and this is the only game this has happen to.

well patch 10001 installed but none of the others will- i tried us04 and ww 05 nothing- I always get the us patches- but trying any dam thing now. Its like the installer does not want to work- like it wants to try for a sec- the lil stalker icon will pop on the task bar then gone.

patch 101 I straight installed as admin- it went right to the installer- w7 sucks- all day at this it is killing me. I did finally find 1 post at gsc same exact problem- the guy never posted back said he fixed it or how or nothing else.

I am to pick either reinstall or it is installed correctly- well if it is installed why is any of this here- Is it a question? WHAT!! neither work or nothing else i have tried---> stupid
