Abit AV8 K8T000 Pro USB question

Postby Stoked » Tue Aug 25, 2009 12:48 pm

Hi, I am trying to boot into DOS with a USB drive. I have tried everything from changing the boot order to all the variations of "USB" and that didn't work. I have tried hitting F during startup and that just takes me to a screen to ask me what kind of boot I want (eg. Safe Mode, Last Known Good Config., etc.), not where to boot from. I have searched for the manual for my Mobo but I can't seem to find it. I have checked this site and I keep getting an error every time I try to view the manual. Does anyone know if its possible to boot using USB?

Thanks,
Stoked

Well, lucky I still have my AV8 manual. I'll ask Josh to see what the error is trying to download the manual from here.

In Advanced BIOS Features, Enable "Boot Other Device"
In Integrated Peripherals> OnChip PCI Device, set USB Emulation to On

Hopefully that will do it. Welcome to the Forums! Chris.
