Pertaining to copy right's on website

Postby cas » Wed Aug 19, 2009 5:22 pm

All our pages have had a Copyright notice at the bottom of every page ever since the site has opened.

Do not copy our contents (text and images) for your advertorials, websites or any other print media (including online classifieds). We will actively pursue any company who copies our contents for their own website

I've came across such contents on some site, say if one of the page contents have a striking resemblance of another site, does it mean it could be sue even if the other party didn't copy but the original party think so?

Has to be a "copy and paste" kind of thing, a direct word for word copy. So change a few words. Better yet, give credit to the site you copied from. ;) They love the attention and recognition.

Besides, IMHO, unless somehow you are making money off of someone else why would they persecute you? Chris.

Stupid is as stupid does.

There will always be someone looking to make money off of someone else. There will always be lawyers that will bring frivolous lawsuits. There will always be judges that were not adequately capabable of ruling on a Patent / Copyright infringement suit.

So, when there is a will, there is a way.....

This is why most suits crack and fold before going to court and the defendant pays to settle early.
