I can't start to list how many video cards I had. The first real pc with win95 was Pentium 120. I had a 2mb video card. I really start out with a commodore 64 and play alot of games on it.

Do still have that computer because I still have the commodore 64 and I still have my 2nd motherboard. It is MSI - MS6167 with a AMD 500 cpu and 512mb of memory and it still works.

Ugh, I can't tell you how many video cards I had. First I think was a Rage 128 Pro, then a Rage 3D Pro (?) then a 9500 Pro, a 9800 Pro, a 6600GT, a 6800GT, an 8800GTO, then I get lost with several 8800's, 9800's and finally GXT260.

Computers? I had one of those Toshiba's like John had. Never did a damn thing with it. But my first was a VIC 20. Still have it. Then a C46, an Amiga (still have it) a bare bones with an AMD K6 400 (3D NOW!) then a couple VIA/ P4 boards, an MSI (hated it) a DFI, then it's been Abit since my AV8. Got this KN9 SLI when they first came out, and love it.

Wish I could remember all the model numbers, but they fade away once the box gets thrown out or the card/ board gets given away. I don't think I've trashed one of my cards or boards, they all get to live long lives with a new owner. Chris.
1)Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3, FX4100 Bulldozer, 8Gb G Skill Sniper 1866, EVGA GTX560Ti, 2x 500Gb SATA II, DVDRW, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit RTM
2)stupid board died already *pfffftttt*
3) AX78, Phenom 9600, 2Gb OZC PC6400, EVGA 9800GTX, CDRW/DVD, CM CP600PCAR 600W, XP Pro Sp2

If you're not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room

My father had a Vic-20 and we played alot games on it. Than I got a C64 and we thought we were in heaven. My kids played Little Computer People for hours. I played a game called Fire King and there was another guy in work that played it too. At that time we thought that was the greatest game going.

Welcome aboard Engine. You just sparked my memory, I previously said my first Desktop was a Pentium 133, I believe when I bought the old Packard Bell it was DX2 66 Mhz., then I upgraded it later.

My first Desktop was a Compaq 66 MHz CPU Intel system with Win 95. Games I played were Doom

mostly, and Duke Nukem 3d. Back then you had to know DOS or you were not going to game period. LOL!! :D

Don't recall what GFX card it had though. That was a long a$$ time ago.

Oh BTW Welcome aboard Engine!!

My ladder of cards is unknow too, I really don't keep track of it, I usually us one for like two years at a time maybe more.

I've used both ATI and NV, but recently, last five years pretty much all NV. Just happy with the cards is all.

One thing I've learned over the years is I stick with what I'm most comfortable with. I rarely pay much attention to who

runs what. ATI and NV are the Best and pretty much all there is to pick from today, though Intel may change all that.

JMHO.

Here's a Short List. Last few years.

From today and back::

GTX260

8800GTS640

6800GTOC

Blue

Here's my First PC...

Welcome to the forum Cas. What were you running in it a Celeron or Pentium 4? Does PCCHIPS still manufacture motherboards by the way? I haven't heard them mentioned in a long time. My first DIY rig i built around a crappy ECS motherboard as that was all I could afford and used an AMD 266 Mhz. K-something or other. Then the next one was a so-so Soyo motherboard. Best board I've ever used is my current one.

First of all tks for the welcome, John ;) Infact i'm running a 1.7ghz Intel P4 processor on the mobo. I just did a search online just now when u put me the question whether pcchip still manufacture mobo? And guess what? Surprisingly it does, they have the following socket under them

Socket 775
Socket 478
Socket AM2+
Socket AM2
Socket 939
Socket 754
Socket 370
Socket 462

Alot of peep would avoid using pcchip mobo cos they find it suck but suprisingly is still around...... :o
