heheh. I was surprised Win7 even installed on this unit, let alone no yellow ! in device manager.

Think your best bet is 98 / Xp / Win 2000

It only has 384MB of RAM and that's too little for XP. Win 9x is far too high maintenance (just to keep it usable) and I don't have 2k. I'm actually looking at sticking a lightweight Linux distro on it. Set up and forget.

Actually I installed this on my old WIN98SE machine which I was still using till about 2.5years ago without issue on an install that was over 5 years old. Last games played on it included WOW. You must be thinking of Windows ME because I never had an issue with Win98SE.

My son had XP running on a unit with less than 256mb. Wasnt smooth, but was usable :P
