hi :D

any of you folks own a fatality an9 32x? or maybe know some 1 who does?

my fatality an9..>

Abit Fatal1ty an9-32x. v1.1 bios18.
ADA4800IAA6CS. htt220.6 @2646.
OCZ gxssli 600w. WD1600AAJS.
Antec p160+120mm intake mod.
Thermalright si128. EVGA 88gts ko.
ViewSonic19"p95f+b. XPpro sp2dx9c.
OCZ2P8002GK 5-5-5-15 t2 2.1v @441.
Aopen combo drive. Fios 15<>2mbps.

any way. as the title says. i want to upgrade my memory for w7 hp im not really sure if i want to run w7 in 32 or 64bit .. i want to say 64bit. if i remember reading right in the past. ms did a better job updating vista 64bit and drivers for it than they did for vista 32bit.. and i think i read more programs ran with vista 64 than did with vista 32bit.. maybe some of you can better answer that question too? but

so ya. im thinking i want to run w7 in 64bit- my sig has my system specs. it runs like a top at my settings now with a lil overclock.. my stock mem OCZ2P8002GK is 4-5-4-15@ 2.1v relaxed to 5-5-5-15 @2.1v these abit mobos seem to like 5-5-5-15 t2 timings so.

*** im thinking about this 4gig mem kit blades- OCZ2B800C44GK stock 4-4-4-15 @2.1v and hope to relax to 5-5-5-15 with no problems.. but being id like to run w7 64bit. i was thinking maybe i could run my 2gig kit im using now OCZ2P8002GK with these blades OCZ2B800C44GK for 6gigs total @ 5-5-5-15 2.1v t2 and still have my lil overclock too.. i wish the blades ran same exact stock timings as my 2gig kit. in my mind the 2 kits would match up better.. but the stock timings are close.. voltage is fine i think?

blades.. 47 bucks not bad.. rebates are hell so i will skip the $10 rebate.. 37 bucks would be sweet. hell i could get 2x 4gig kits at that price..>

so do you folks think i will have problems running these kits together OCZ2B800C44GK ++ OCZ2P8002GK ? also these blades the heat spreader is a lil tall.. but i should be ok with them.. my thermalright si128 is set up heat pipes to the io plate or back of mobo or pwm area.. the other side over hangs my memory. but its good clearances and should be fine for the blades.. but i know for a fact some of the other ocz's with more tall heat spreaders would be to tall i could not get them under the overhang of my tr si128..

so anything more tall than these blades are out of the question.. im willing to try another 4gig kit or even another brand if you folks think would be a better match with my 2gig kit?.. heck if i had the cash id buy 2x the 4gig blade kits and run 8gigs and just put my 2gig kit in storage. maybe i should break down save and buy the 2x 4gig kits. they should maybe be from same batch and for sure same timings and voltage etc.. where later i might not be able to find or buy a matching 4gig kit. maybe i should buy 8gigs from the start.. then im future proof?? its just i need a few system fans too.. money is tight. hell in another year or so. i hope to build a whole new system. and id guess will be ddr3 so i dont need to break the bank now.. i just want my system to run smooth and play my games and record well with w7 so..

im no expert by any means.. but i do think id like mem with more tight timings to start with like my 2 gig kit so i can relax as needed versus buying a kit stock 5-5-5-15.. i dont know maybe they will pop in and run fine with my 2 gig kit at the same speed and oc.. but seems to me i have more options if the mem is more tight from the start and can relax them.. but again im just a dummy so..

the chris with my an9 told me to pop in these stix OCZ2P8002GK and set them to 5-5-5-15 they ran like a champ at 2.1v i never tried to lower voltage.. the mem sticker on it said 2.1v so.. but they test out and run perfect at my settings so i let it go at that.. sorry if im all over the place.. im just trying to give as much info or history as possible.. im poor and my money is limited and id like for this to be as easy as possible..

heck i would even consider saving and buying a 4gig 1066 kit and run only them. maybe 2x 4gig 1066.. if it would not be a pain in the butt to hit timings these abit mobos like and i can still run my lil overclock too.. its just.. im not good at this oc stuff.. i have to do a simple oc.. just up my htt some.. i think my an9 will go more high oc than it is now [sig]. bump up the htt a lil more. i just have not tried.. but what im running now passes memtest86 for 16 hours and prime95 and cpu burn in for 16 hours in windows.. so im stable and good to go. id just hate to be all day just trying to fine a timings the mobo is happy with at stock speeds much less an oc.. my kn8 gave me hell trying to get it to like my 2gig kit in it..>

*** kn8..> nothing to do with above..

my 2gig kit i put in my kn8 gave me hell trying to find the voltage and timings it wanted to run at [below].. said stock was not good enough. it would not run anything near stock. i set it at corsair timings it ran like a top and gave me a nice lil oc to.. these abit mobos can be picky about memory..>

this is the 2gig kit in my kn8- OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K stock 2-3-2-5 @2.8v running at 2.5-3-3-6. 1t 2.6v they would not run any place near stock- but likes these timings etc. ocz said they had changed ic's but not the write up and the new ic's only liked to run at 2.6v so. i got it to run this at stock cpu speeds and tested.. then i upped my htt to what it is now tested and good to go..

my kn8 sig..>

Abit KN8 v1.1 bios19. 64 4000+e4 san. htt 215@ 2581
OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K ddr430 2.5-3-3-6. 1t.2.6v
Thermalright xp120. BFG 7800gt oc. OCZ modstream 520w.
Swiftech mcx159r.2x Seagate st3200822as 200g sata1.
Antec p160+120mm intake mod. Dellp780 17".
XPpro sp2dx9c. Fios 15<>2mbps

any advice for my fatality an9 and w7 hp mem upgrade would be welcome.. and thanks in advance :D :9:

see ya :D :9:
