I was recently printing a contact sheet of 29 pages on my Canon i9900 printer [new print head installed in January]. On about page 15 everything turned blue. The list of things I tried to fix this problem is too long for me to remember. Eventually, my monitor went out. I was using my EVGA 8800 GT [with latest update - May 2009] and finally replaced it with my old ATI All In Wonder 600Pro [definitely not Vista friendly], however, my monitor works fine.
Unfortunately now my color profiles are all screwed up and my Canon printer has gone through an entire Cyan cartridge as I continued trying to fix the printer issue.
I don't know what to do or where to begin. I'm planning to buy a new graphics card and fortunately the new Vista cards are under $100.00. [whew...]
In the meantime my question is:
Will buying a new graphics card resolve my system color profiles and thereby resolve my printer problem [since the i9900 uses system colors to print]???
Also, is it possible my color profiles became corrupted? If so, does anyone know how to replace all of them???
Any other suggestions?
Many thanks,
Rick
