Would be getting the following soundcard creative sb 5.1VX, palit HD 4850 sonic 512mb and antec earthwatts 500watts for a customer. As far as i knew creative sound card has alot of issue previously judging from the post of other's. Btw it doesn't need to be a high end sound card cos he requested for the above and is on budget

Also what the difference bewteen HD 4850 with or without sonic??

well here is a sound card that was my 2nd choice after the Auzen tech card i have now. its made by HT Omega
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6829271001
and from what i still see in there reviews at newegg it is still a top card yet. and yeah i hate creative junk with a vengeance yet. not sure about the ATI stuff and the difference of with or with out the sonic though. and from the egg it still has 5 eggs yet and after 301 reviews. i think thats really good. and from what i have read there tech support is better then any other thats around, even mine. since 1 reviewer siad that they help them even before they even bought it which is rare to hear about ya know.

You can set the monitor at whatever the customer is comfortable with. Vista likes to set my 20" LCD widescreen at 1650x1280 (or something like that) but to me everything looks funny. 1600x1200 looks fine. XP will not set the resolution that high.

A full HD monitor will be capable of 1040p video playback, a non - HD might only be capable of 720p video, but that only relates to DVD's or video, not games or the normal Windows desktop.

"Sonic" is just a part of the Palit brand name, it doesn't mean anything special about the card, unless maybe it's higher clock rates from the factory.

I like Turtle Beach sound cards, they are really good quality and not expensive. I feel the same way that Scavy does about Creative, I have a set of their speakers but I will never own one of their sound cards. Chris.
