Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted what you said. I thought you meant they weren't going to produce anymore GTX 295's period. Yeah, heard about the new PCB a while back and posted about the re-design on several forums. Dual-GPU on a single PCB, just like the HD4870X2 from ATI.

First thing I see in the EvGa Forums is about the card I want, the EvGa GTX 275 FTW Edition. :mrgreen:

Sounds better every time I think about it :9: Sorry off topic, :oops:

Oh My Lord! :o :shock:

"* GT3xx will pack 512 MIMD cores compared to 240 from the GTX280. The 88xx/98xx/2xx used SIMD cores.

* GT300 architecture groups processing cores in sets of 32 - up from 24 in GT200 architecture.

* GT300 may have about 3TFlops of computation power if clocks are at 2GHz.

* Just like the CPU, GT300 gives direct hardware access [HAL] for CUDA 3.0, DirectX 11, OpenGL 3.1 and OpenCL."

That is going to be one seriously awesome card! That will be my next card, just to say I have one!

And of course I'll run Folding on it (well, o.k., maybe some games, too ;) ) because it seems like more and more, video cards are doing the work of the CPU, and doing it better! Chris.

Maybe not that bad, if ATI keeps the pressure on Nvidia, and it looks like they will. So as long as ATI stays strong everyone wins.

Right-O!! Gotta Have Both ATI and Nvidia Kicking A$$ to keep prices in line. Otherwise if one falls, Intel will take over there spot

you can BET on that!! Or some other Outfit? Though it would spell disaster for us either way. :shock: Go ATI!! :D

Nvidia and ATI will never fail. Just like Intel and AMD. That project that Intel is working on to combine a CPU with a GPU (IIRC that's what it is) won't hold a candle to either ATI's or Nvidia's graphics cards. I suppose S3/ VIA could start coming out with higher end cards, but I don't see VIA doing that. Chris.

It's called Larabee and no it won't be able to compete with either ATI or Nvidia's high-end, low-end yes. Next Gen Larabee may give them something to think about though, but who know what ATI and Nvidia will have up their sleeve by that point. Hard to believe they ever be able to match either of them on the high-end.

True. true, Intel has no reason to push out a High End GFX card Division, however if NV or ATI fall, I just have a feeling

Intel is waiting in the wings. Intel is BIG, has deep pockets, though right now none of these Companies are doing all that Swell, the Intel i7 Chip

is awesome ans the new AMD chips are too, but, folks, (normal folks) don't upgrade their PC in hard times, rather they clip coupons for food

purchasing.

The last thing on MOST familys that are struggling is up-grading their PC. Again, NORMAL folks. Not us PC GEEK types, we often don't care.

PC Nerds/Geeks/Gamers, will buy a new Uber Duber whatever Hardware and not eat. Or pay their bills, just to have the latest greatest stuff.

I decided to save for a new Phone instead for example, instead of trying to Buy a B+NEW card I now I can't afford. So I'm getting this::

Image :D

I've had the same beat up Phone for 8 years, the key pad keys stick like crazy, the batteries only last anbout a year now, I'm so sick of it,

it'll just turn off in the Middle of a Call. When buy new Battery Packs (rechargeable, of course) the phone burns them out fast. A Cordless

phone should run for like three years on one set of new Batteries. Ah well I've had it a LONG time, and I bought it on sale cheap, in 2003.

I think.

My new phone was 29 busks on sale at Frys. Or everyday low price, whatever, everything at Frys is on sale if you ask me, like New Egg.

I did see it for like 24 bucks elsewhere on Line, but not with the guarantee I get at Frys.

Here are the Phones Features (brief form) ::

GE 28223EE1 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with
Digital Answering Machine and GOOG-411 Silver

+++++++++++++
GE- Dect 6.0 interference-free technology phone that expands up to 6 handsets. Use the dedicated Goog 411 one touch button to search for a business by name or category - Goog 411 connects your call for free. A digital answering system with 14 minutes recording time and remote message retrieval provides call screening and voice prompts in English and Spanish. Blue backlit keypad and easy read multilingual LCD display with exploding digits for ease of use. Wifi-friendly handset is hearing aid compatible and works as intercom, speakerphone or room monitor and allows call conferencing. This fully featured phone has built in clock and calendar with automatic date and time set, caller ID with 40 number log memory, call waiting, dial back function, speed dialing with 50 name/number directory and melody ringtones. Voice mail system works with base unit. Handset base is desk or wall mountable. Ni-MH battery prevents loss of settings in case of power outage. 1 year limited warranty and comes with AC adapter and belt clip.
+++++++++++++

Now I'm excited about this Phone!! Most folks I'm sure could care less, LOL!! But for me, it's a BIG deal!! Oh and a Friend is giving me a New
Re-Cliner Chair for my Living Room, if I can Figure out how to get it up here, I live in an Upstairs Condo type Unit. Good for the LEGS, LOL!!

Plus the sound on my old Phone SUX, like being in a Tunnel, not always but most of the time, this new GE phone is supposed to be VERY clear!!

It's colorful too, and I get free (Google Powered) 411 calls!! Which is cool as I hate looking up numbers. Phone Books are so Yesterday, and really

just a HUGE AD.

IMHO. I go to Cloverdale all the time, small town, man I saw their phone book, it's like less than 1/4 Inch thick, Image.

I was going to get a Corded phone, but hell a Good one with an Answering Machine is about the same price, but Corded phones are clearer is

Sound quality, IMO.

Off Topic a WEE bit... :grin: I still want that GTX 275 FTW Card. But no way that would make sense for me. :bye:

Who wouldn't want a Phone with Exploding Digits :music:

2.8Ghz, OMG, that thing was barely Chugging along, Scavy :mrgreen:

Yeah, I know it has nothing to do with the speed of the phone, what it does do is CUT out more Interference and

add length and Clarity to your Calls, Crisp and Clean calls, even right next to my PC Tower. Gee I should be getting my new

Uber Phone the 1st Too!! (that would be Tomorrow, BTW)

Yippy, a new TOY, and Cheap too!! Can't go wrong with FRY's Electronics, IMHO.

I will wait on my GFX card, the GTX 275-285 etc are all about the same as my card, when I OC it, if I even need too.

It runs Fast @ 575MHz Core Clocks, Honestly. ;) 625 is best, but I can OC it to FTW clocks, 666 Core Clock.

I was thinking about the ARCTIC COOLING, VGA Cooler For GTX 260/280/285, but that makes no sence IMO,

I'll just wait on new 40nm GPU's with DX11. WIN7 ready, you know the Drill. :rotfl: :read:

Blue

AC Cooler (GTX 260, 275, 280 etc) :: http://vr-zone.com/articles/arctic-cool ... l?doc=6453

Your NEW phone is WAY out of my Price Range...!!!! 90 Bucks!! OMG for a Phone!!
