Even the slowest P2 is too fast. Has to be a P1 166 max.
The AX78 is a good board, but these Phenom quads only run at 2.1 and 2.4 Ghz, and they don't like being over clocked, so what you already have is a lot better system for games and other stuff. For Folding these Phenoms are fine, tho. Don't need a fast CPU to do that stuff.
My next upgrade will be my KN9 SLI and X2 6400+, but I am not in any hurry. It runs just fine and all my games run just fine. For every day use, a quad core is not really needed anyways. I would need a new board (looking at a nice DFI board) and a Phenom II CPU, which will cost me around $500 USD. Too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ right now for me. Chris.
