STEAM GAMING

Postby BlueMonster » Sun Dec 21, 2008 6:36 am

Thought it may be a cool idea to start a Steam Games Thread, so folks can share what's new on Steam

or discuss Steam issues, FAQ and so on. STEAM now has EA games, as well as 100's of others

of course. Like all the old "id" Software games can be found on STEAM. Steam is a on-line PC Game store

for digital downloading of Full PC games, Demos, trailers and so on. Steam, will automatically keep your games

updated to the most resent working official patches form the Official Publishers and Dev Teams. You can also back up

any Steam game onto Disk. Joining Steam is simple follow this link:: http://store.steampowered.com/

Got Questions about Steam, find them here :: http://store.steampowered.com/about/

So now you can get Dead Space on Steam!! w00t w00t, I've used Steam for years and love it. Chris has a lot of experience with

Steam as well, more so than I. Anyhow here's the STEAM thread, Enjoy. :)

One thing that's really cool about Steam is no fumbling around with a Disk, worrying about scratching it, loosing it.

Steam keeps all your Favorite games for you, gotta Love that!! I love the BOX art etc., you get with the retail version as well.

However if you want to keep things Simple, Steam ROCKS!!

So Steam has Crysis and Warhead, also on sale is "SIN: Emergence" (Episode1) for under 10 bucks

I have this game, and it's still an Awesome game today, there was going to be many Episodes to follow

however Ritual Games that did the Original game "SIN" also, is now owned by (shutter!!) Mumbo Jumbo

games, and they really Pi$$ed me off by dropping Ritual Games, as they made some of the BEST FPS PC

games out there in the day, SAD story makes me ill. I highly Recommend- SIN:EMERGENCE.

Earlier this year, I got the 3 pack of CoD games from Steam for $19.95. For older shooters, those games really are great. Graphics and gameplay better than some brand new $50 games. :P Yup, Bioshock is $4.99. What a steal!

Right now they have a sale going, everything 10 to 75% off. Geese, I need to put some money into my pre paid CC account. Chris.

I don't have a CC, and Paypal takes 5 days to receive money from a bank transfer. *sigh*

I don't even have a bank account, so I went to my local check cashing place and got a pre paid VISA card. It's thru a company called Net Spend. They charge $8 to set up the card first time (it's free if you put $250 on the card first time) and then it's $2 to reload the card again. Transactions are $1, except ATM transactions, $2. But you don't pay any interest. I don't leave a big balance on my card, I add money when I need to make an online purchaes, so if any hacker did manage to get into my account, they get squat! :P

These cards work in a store just like a VISA, and in ATM machines just like an ATM card. Best thing since salted butter. Chris.

Steam Games and Forums

Postby Mr. Chris » Wed Sep 09, 2009 7:36 am

Been hanging out over there a little lately. O.K., a lot. :P http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/f ... y.php?f=53 Seems that every game I have or like is there. And some new titles, too. Lots of cool info and a few small flame wars. :o Moderators seem pretty cool but if you get out of line you're gone. Pretty cool bunch of regulars. Chris.
