Sniper: Ghost Warrior

This one snuck in under my radar, but it's totally awesome. What's better than being a sniper all dressed in jungle camo? With a silenced sniper rifle that is "one shot, one kill"? Yeah, OK, so I still get killed myself. Pffftttt.

Besides, it was $10 from Steam. How can you beat that? :D Looks great, runs great, did I mention head shots?

I seen some vids- looks cool and has bullet cam- low ratings tho- lots of complaints maybe. IGN 5/10 Gamespot 6/10.

Cheap hard to go wrong- might be a great great 10 dollar game. Not many are worth full price for sure.

Ha ha people are asking if brink is worth it at evga- I say maybe not. :P :D Think you can get the complete for like 6.50 and just the game for 5 bucks.

5 of 10? 6 of 10? For this game? They are stupid. This is a great game. I love the bullet cam. Head shot's in slow motion, see the bullet go in and SPLAT! Love it.

I paid full price for that stupid Brink. What a waste. What a total letdown. File it in the same pile as Damnation. :(

Well, reinstalled Sniper last night. Went to fire it up and Avast! had a tizzy fit! Said the game looked suspicious and wanted to examine it. Pfffftttttt. Then BLUE SCREEN!!!!!! Yeah, nice. This morning I fired it up again, Avast did the same thing, shut down the game and "examined" it, finally gave the all clear. I told Avast! to run the game normally, it wanted to run in a "sandbox" WTF is that? Anyways, played until I died at the rope climbing part. I did get past that before I just have to remember what the heck I did. Still a fun game. :9:

Ya avast can freak sometimes.. I have had no probs at all on my buds rig since using only windows essentials and free malware bytes.. Avast is adding maybe improving all the time has the sandbox and cloud now. Well that new stuff can mess it up also or we not use it right. I am going windows next time. The antivirus is light on the system and easy on things like gfwl.. When I rebuild this I am going to drop avast and go with windows.. You guys might install all sorts of other programs or a player might need or option update. That stuff can be going on and you not know unless you go to use it and see the pop up- well it could have been bumping the system under you and cause jams and you not know..

W7 is glitchy for lack of a better word. You drop the least lil things into the gears of w7 you have problems is as simple as that.. blaim windows or them having to use it devs etc.

A lot of the probs is w7 its self. It can be doing things in the back ground and or when you use steam- it stays in the back ground until you restart your pc. Flash gives me fits and or adobe reader trying to update in the back ground can all jam it up and you not know and go a trying to do updates or install- maybe delete something and have to reboot it goes f- ing nuts - it might black or blue screen or freeze and when it goes to start go to black screen and say windows did not shut down right- power might have gone out what ever- and does it often..

I have leaned to before doing major stuff or windows updates and to have less probs.. I First clear both my browser cache ei8 and chrome wait a minute or so then reboot. I let windows run 5 more minutes so everything loads and you see the windows pop ups for updates or the lil flag on your task bar and wait to see if w7 starts to index or what ever.. [Some of you guys systems could be doing auto scans or even defrags- w7 defaults at install it defrags every week or so at a certain time- maybe when it thinks the system is idle. You can be gaming or what ever no matter it starts and eats resources unless you turn if off and do that stuff manually..]

Then I might clear flash cache maybe even clean disc. Then I manually check for updates for adobe reader and flash- Flash has multi updates- each of my browsers have its own version and each version can have options to clear the cache for its self and all other version or browsers on your system- that part can be confusing. I can not really help you ff guys I never use it.. I do know ff has always had lots of security probs and updates for it and you can be attacked or more so today through your browser and or flash. That stuff can jam up and some will not give ya pop ups unless you let your system sit completely off for a lil while and then restart it..

That is another things about windows no matter for me from 98 to xp pro to w7. We most always just restart or some hibernate- it is not the same and your system can do odd things or even seems to reset its self after being restarted from a complete power off state. I can not explain why.. But after I am sure all the crap is updated.. I might even turn off my security auto scans I might set to do at 1am monday morning. All of that crap seems to jam it up at restarts during updates or installs what ever.. W7 is way worst at such things versus xp or for me..

I am telling you guys and you that do use steam. You close it after gaming it is still running or it hangs and does not close its self out. I am telling you adobe has probs. Your system can be jamming up you not know and these odd lil things are for a reason.. Try and cut out that back ground stuff and stuff trying to connect and update and wants to give ya pop ups at reboot- Maybe you are blocking them and not know it during normal use.. Your anti virus even if set to manual- say it gets a program update- it does not see its self installed until it runs its first scan- quick scan is fine. If it does not run it is never relaxed- it is always waiting and any lil odd stuff wanting to do something and is ignored not told yes or no can freak something else out and w7 goes limp and falls on the floor foaming at the mouth banging its own head against the ground..

I keep that lil stuff in check I have far less probs with w7..

Um to think about it. Some of our games during install might try and install drivers or try and connect to its home like invidia to get drivers. or the game can install activex any of such things can jam it up its sound or video drivers or installers can be messed up.. That could very well be why some of us have odd probs at times trying to install or delete new drivers.. Again w7 is weak and glitchy.

Then you guys or some using all sorts of helper programs fix this optimize that that is asking for probs and all of them trying to update also.. Some people never reboot or power off- their systems generally have more probs and run slower just it takes longer for them to notice and when they do everything else falls and is a mess or extra confusing. W7 can work nice and a powerful system and lots of ram etc. It is far more hard to keep it nice versus xp imo..

Another thing folks do not understand is windows of old and windows 7 when it feels it is idle it does what it wants or needs to do like indexing what ever and if you let it sit long enough it will do it business and then calm down and then is when it is ready for anything else.. I just hate it even tho you turn that stuff off you can be gaming or full screen video and tell the player not to go sleep if full screen it or windows see its as idle and starts doing what ever or some games your screen blacks out like it was idle- ha ha sucks. I swear any and everything trying to do what ever in the back ground gives w7 or our versions a fit.. I stay on that stuff everything else seems to go ok.. I do need to nuke this system- more waiting on video cards..

When windows does its often frameworks updates they take a log time to download and install and then windows says restart- then you wait long enough you get a green pop up windows restarted to finish installing the updates-- then if you just let it sit for a while you notice a lot of activity from your hdd or I have extra lights on my mobo more sensitive than those and can tell my mobo or windows is working. It is indexing or what ever it needs to do and can go on for like an hour.. It is best to let it do that stuff before anything else or can jam it up..

Trust me.. I talk long and confusing but I pick up stuff..

A lot of folks using say fire fox neglect the fact we still have to maintain and update internet explorer. Windows uses it for all its updates and steams gui the one you log into to play games uses it and its flash.

Some use third party programs said to clear all caches etc. That does not do updates like flash for it. We have to keep up with ie just like our browser we normally use or have more problems.. It is not a bad idea to set ie as default browser to do its updates you can change it laters. :D :9:
