I might laters when cheap. SP is only like 6 hours long and some fx are cut out and or vehicles in sp. If your thing is only mp- it should be pretty great.

I am a lil sad- steam had batman aa with all dlc's last week for 10 bucks- I should have got it.. Still waiting to get dead island- the egg has it for like 35 bucks- but do not think it comes with the bloodbath arena dlc. Guess I will be thanks giving or christmas before getting it- maybe it will be fixed also..

I dont know kind of would like crysis2- more waiting for bioshock infinity- maybe borderlands2 and farcry3. I do not know if I will like batman- 10 bucks it is worth a try :D

I've gotten the game via retail boxed disc, but during installation, Origin insists on downloading it from the net......and with my slow as mollasses net connection, it took just about 24hr! Oh well, at least the game browser doesn't crash on me and I was able to play SP mode for a few minutes. With my HD6870 in CF mode, but with the 'wrong' driver (Cat 11.9 + CAP3 instead of Cat11.10 v2 Preview driver), I'm still able to run the game quite smoothly @1920x1200, Ultra on everything that can be 'Ultra'ed", but w/o AA though, FRAPS shows FR of >40fps to >60fps. The game does look good though, here're a couple of screenshots (as usual, I suck at screenshots)

GD

Not trying to piss ya off or anything- it is just my nature I see something I say something- trying to help is all.. Looks to me from here or your dead island screens- looks like you set your bright real high in your games or your contrast real low- either or can wash out colors and textures- even in game play- screens or not.

Maybe you do not notice it on your side- maybe your monitor settings is darker and looks normal to you- I dont know just thinking maybe one or the other is set a lil to high or low. Just from here your screens look a lil on the bright side. lower your bright a lil and or up your contrast a lil your games colors and textures will have a richer more natural look. Or do nothing at all is up to you. Just you say you are not good at screens so I try and help ya as best I can..

I know bf3 uses a lot of sun flare. Haze can make games or screens look a lil odd maybe. Get your bright and contrast dialed in- what looks natural like in real life- you would enjoy your game more will be more pretty- screens or not. You have a bad ass system and vid card- I think you need to tweak your settings a lil-- ha ha or you have cock eyes or something or color blind maybe :D :P - ha ha laughing joking with ya is all.

Hell my screens might look like chit on you other guys system or monitor I do not know- I know what I see you others might not.. I might get this bf3 someday- I do like mp games- people seem to like this and say its lovely- so.. Me really wants dead island tho.. I am glad you post - wish you and others posted more.

Soon as I can get some games you others have I hope we can play together- my intel system and nv card wants to kick you guys butts- ha ha :P Blue has dead island maybe the 3 of us and others can hook up and play some di co op- sounds like fun to me. I will have dead island soon- could have had it already- the bugs keep me away- and will cost a lil less- Id like to get the dlc when I do get it- some come with some not but same or near same price- be dumb not to get the dlc me thinks..

See ya.. :D

Hey ezeht, I don't take offense easily, anywayz, you're offering constructive criticism, I appreciate that. With regards to ingame screenies being a tad bright, well, I don't bother to tweak brightness and/or gamma, and I leave it at default most of the time. DI has posts, in some forums I go to, where posters say it's somewhat on the bright side, but I have heard of a mod that change the sky to 'overcast' darkening it somewhat. BF3 screen setting's at default as well, but odd thing is, it did not appear that bright to me......maybe my eyesight's going on me

Anyway, I'm having a fair bit of fun with BF3, it has some pretty nice set pieces to fight your way out of, in this sense, it's much like COD MW series. Man, I 'died' a few times in a few areas simply because I overestimated myself.......goin' in Rambo style doesn't always pan out.

Ya thats cool- I was not trying to criticize- tho I guess that was what it was or sounds like. I tweak all my games bright etc- 9 out of 10 are either a lil to dark or bright. It is no biggy do as you like or best for your eyes. I only said anything because you do..

Ya Heads up in most of these mp games gets ya dead fast and being most that play them camp and are snipers- gets on a lot of folks nerves but hey that is the game and if all want to be camping snipers- you have to deal with it. Spawn kills can get on your nerves tho- not to mention many cheat also. I have seen screens and vids of bf3 it looks near natural- character skins also- maybe a lil more so than di.

Dead islands world is lovely but its characters have more cartoon skins or colors or how it pans out or looking at screens and stuff- which most games are like that- characters look more cartoon versus natural or real- I can not word or explain it right and not saying it is wrong or bad or looks bad- just hard to make them look real maybe- I guess..

Glad you are having fun- people do say bf3 is lovely- just a 6 hour sp game turns me off- I wish they put more effort and time into the sp game they would interest me more and then I would fall in and out of mp.. When first started gaming Id play sp 1x then all mp- loved it- but cheaters ran me off. I do not mind playing honest folks and lose- but to be cheated- I lose all intrest and do not trust it any more- just kills it for me- no sp to fall back on other than 5 hours it is hard for me to spend my lil money on them.. When real cheap or if give to me I might play them.. I would like to get bf3 just because of the engine and the game is said so pretty.

I really hated bf2 tho. I could spend whole matches and not see or shoot 1 enemy and never did know how to get more ammo- or some jet would fly over and kill me sometimes was the only action I seen.. I tried to use the mini or I could hear people fighting way off- by the time I got there they was gone or the match was over- it had no sp game just training- I was bored to death and lost I hated that dang game.. Spent my money on it- I dont know maybe I am stupid or something and trying to fly anything was like pulling teeth. My game was ut04 never once went in any mode with nothing to shoot at and flying or driving what ever was easy and I could kick butt and did not have to cheat- as a fact the cheaters had to keep cranking the chit up to beat me.. Gets harder and harder to play tho- makes my hand hurt- all they have to do is bump up the hack program slider- instant extra skills - lock on and tracking aim bots radar all sorts of chit- I hated the dam cheaters..

I for sure will get dead island- maybe we and blue can hook up when so..

OH ya think you said something about drivers- I think I read ati folks are having more probs- well that is typical really. No harm but I do read ati folks have more probs in general over the total of games and is why I will not buy ati cards plus no physx- so..

But back to bf2-3. Man I do not know what I was doing or wrong in bf2- maybe the maps was so large maybe- but you start or die- you would have multi spawn points you pick 1- I would pick where I think I should be- I would spawn into the game like 2 or 3 miles away from the action and on foot. So id have to hoof it trying to get to the action and trying to learn a new game also- noob. But every now and then some sniper or something would take me out- I never hardly ever even seen players on my own team much less the sniper or jet coming to kill me- Id be all alone and lost and plus checking out stuff- like I might find stashes or something like in other games- I dont know.

Was times I would empty my weapon-s what ever- I never could figure out how to get more ammo- I might be the last half or 2/3 match with no ammo at all- I hated that freaken game. Again trying to fly something- 2 seconds later I have done flipped it and ran it into the ground- what ever- I loved front lines fuel of war other than the one part you had to fly the chopper- id be 15x run that itch into the ground or just get the controls good enough flying side ways or upside down or something just good enough to kill what I had to then either run it into the ground or what ever- I was happy to get out of the sum itch- I hated it and do not understand why games have to be made where it is so hard to just play or fly the stuff or it is a trick to it or something-- I have kind of got use to flying jets and stuff in jc2- it was hard also- choppers are easy but jets and planes are not or for me.

I will guess bf3 is a lot like bf2 as far as game play goes- so I might not like it at all.. IMO bf2 was a pretty game and ran good and all- but gees man- I had no fun with it.. I would try and play all day sometimes and maybe never see one enemy or maybe not even 1 player on my own team- I do not know what I was doing wrong- but I hated it and was a pure waste of my money.. I read it was is so great- I wanted to play mp. I must be stupid or something or you have to be a rocket scientist to play it or something- I dont know.. COD games and mp I never had those probs and maps not so large you never see players or never fire your weapon- I had some fun in cod mp games- just again my fav was ut04 is all. BF2 sucked imo- guess I could have read tons of info or something- but it should not be so hard or like that- I lost interest.. So I do not know if I would like bf3 or not- might still get it when cheap just to run it and see it- might not really play it- not if like bf2 for sure..

Oh by the way I was playing on full servers with what 32 or 64 players and might not see a 1 all day- that freaken sucks man- I could not understand it at all.. I think bf2 had 64 player servers- maybe it was only 32 players- I cant remeber now- but was not like it was only 4 people on the map- I hated that game-- I tried to like it or figure it out- they can have it imo..

Oh ya 1 more thing and I have said it before- being poor I can not never or rarely just get a new just out game- by the time I get them most folks are like pros- I a noob have to play with veterans I never had a chance and that takes away the fun and interest also. It is hard to learn if you die 2 seconds after you spawn in. Why it can not be servers for noobs so we can learn- I do not know- but would have more players it seems to me and noobs would get a chance to learn and have some fun versus thrown in with vets and pros. Real life working or playing sports is different you or I can learn faster being with learning from or playing with the best- it is oppisits in pc games imo- not sure why game makers do not understand that chit.. Be nice If I could buy new just out games and start and learn with everyone else- but some games that have I guess betas folks start a new game when it comes out with advanced stats maybe or abilities- and surely know the maps better than us with out the betas- some are already pros- or have leved up gear or what ever that others do not or did not have the betas or pre order or something- it just does not seem fair to me.. So just knowing I will be months or a year to get a game and most are pros or few people are playing any more- I get to where I do not even care to buy them- and might have been great games.. I hate being poor- sucks..

I dont know- 1 of the things I liked most about ut04 was. I could install all the mp maps and just play bots alone and learn the maps and stuff and then play mp with real people. Same thing for codwaw nz. I could play the maps and custom maps just with the zombies and learn the maps- never could get pb let me connect or would kick me a few minutes later but never did get into or could play nazi zombie co op because of it..

I never liked quake games mp- I have q4 loved it sp game but hated their mp games just to arcade maybe and players move odd and bouncy and jumpy- all quake engine games are like that to me qwet/etqw?? same thing- it was just odd and odd ball sites on guns or what ever- and players look odd how the move and stuff- ut04 looked and played more natural to me- and It was a great game and I loved the said space man game or weapons etc- and tons and tons of content and maps or game modes or complete conversion mods and easy to play- so.. Q2-3 what ever same just never liked mp them games. I only have q4 but did play some other quake mp games- same thing its the engine or something- I can not or is hard to explain..

Any way - hope you have fun- see ya.. :D

wow ea origin has this on sale- ends today for 29.99- that like half price- If I had the cash Id jump on it. Some of these games or cod games can be full price for a year or more.

I would love this- dx11 too- tho me might not be able to max it- still a great deal me thinks ? :D

Peeps often compare the gfx of BF3 and MW3, of course MW3 loses its engine is rather older. For me, BF3 looks great but in terms of gameplay, the pure adrenaline surge when playing a game, MW3 pips BF3. Don't get me wrong, they both entertain and are pretty exciting games, but gameplay for MW3 is just more engrossing to me. I've just finished MW3 and I found the ending rather......sad and dissatisfying. But, that's just me.....gfxwise, MW3 does look pretty decent as well. Yes, I know this is a BF3 thread, but I'm gonna post some MW3 screenshots.....sure me! :P
