I don't know if any of you know that all HD's are going up in price. 45% of the hard drive made are under water and it will be 6 to 8 month before they are being made again. So if you need any hard drives you better buy them.

Oh that's just great DM ;)

Then they'll come up with an excuse to keep them high, like BIG OIL does.I have enough HDD space to last a life time!!

2xWD250 in raid 0, and a Tara-byte HDD too, so I'm covered, have some old back ups as well.

Don't think they'll be building any here!!

Great time for Seagate or whoever else makes HDD's as they will gouge use too.

I've heard not only hard drives, but RAM, motherboards, pretty much any PC component. Oh, cars and car parts (new parts), too. Just brings up the sad fact that we depend so much on foreign manufacturers for every day things.
1)Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3, FX4100 Bulldozer, 8Gb G Skill Sniper 1866, EVGA GTX560Ti, 2x 500Gb SATA II, DVDRW, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit RTM
2)stupid board died already *pfffftttt*
3) AX78, Phenom 9600, 2Gb OZC PC6400, EVGA 9800GTX, CDRW/DVD, CM CP600PCAR 600W, XP Pro Sp2

If you're not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room

Isn't there's oso manufacturer in the US since california area is known for technology? But then even country or co situated here oso have shift their operation overseas to country like vietnam, thailand, china etc due to the lower operation cost there thus we were oso affected

This means New Egg is gonna take a HIT as well, any tech on line

store for that matter. Or Fry's etc. Prolly not that much though, mostly HDD's . Folks are going to hold off

on new builds for sure. But then again most folks are set up ok here.

Should have a back up plant here in the USA!! It's hard finding work when it's all sent to China where

they make a HDD for a bowel of rice :D
