Looks like AMD hsa stepped up to the plate and smashed Intel. Of course, you and I will not likely use liquid nitrogen, or liquid helium to cool a CPU. But still, 8.5Ghz, jeebus! Smack! I'll settle for 6Ghz on 6 cores on air. Dayumn!

Ya that is pretty sweet. The averages are in the 5 gig area on air which puts them in the same area as the 2600k intel cpus. We will have to wait to see real time bench comparisons versus intel. I have read dozer should be sweet for a while now. You will need a am3+ mobo to use those cpus or are they apus? but if you have the mobos I think you can also use your older am3 or am2 if I remember right- but I would not buy 1 now- you never know what changes they might make when the actual cpus come out. Should help intel prices go lower and or make better to beat out the amds again and that is if they do top them or is enough to worry about.

Unless me system breaks I figure I will be using it another 3 or 4 years and should run all games to come out any time soon any way- I guess w8 will be forced on me before then tho?
