Steam- Free To Play Games

Postby ezeht » Tue Jun 21, 2011 1:39 am

Anyone play these type games? Are they fun? How do they work- How do you play them or get started?

How do you buy stuff. Do you need real money well a credit card to play them or to ever get good or better stuff.

If you can play with out real money will it suck?

* I seen these free to play games on steam and downloaded->

Global Agenda: Free Agent

Champions Online: Free for All

Alliance of Valiant Arms

I tried aova and joined its site- I did and beat the training and it said it gave me 20,000 euros and my total is 40000 euros but I can not buy anything and it is all confusing. I have never played this type game and do not know where to start or what to do or how to do it. I just want to play. Seems you can pay real money for stuff I guess?- if so I do not think I care to play. I do not know. Do not know if I need to play and get points or what and can buy laters as I rank up or what. Can I even play if I do not buy a gun? What ever. I deleted it all after downloading it all. I can download it again laters if worth it and if explained to me how to play or buy stuff and when do I need or can I buy stuff etc. It is total confusion for me.

Thanks

I've seen them listed, but haven't tried them. Combat Arms was a free to play, but you had to buy "bucks" with a credit card to buy weapons and upgrades. Plus, that game was hacked to hell and back. These will most likely be the same system.
1)Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3, FX4100 Bulldozer, 8Gb G Skill Sniper 1866, EVGA GTX560Ti, 2x 500Gb SATA II, DVDRW, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit RTM
2)stupid board died already *pfffftttt*
3) AX78, Phenom 9600, 2Gb OZC PC6400, EVGA 9800GTX, CDRW/DVD, CM CP600PCAR 600W, XP Pro Sp2

If you're not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room

I downloaded Alliance of Valiant Arms, looks nice btw, anywho...it is exactly like Combat Arms, but of couse it's way different too,

as I've never seen any of the maps except, in trailers. They are well done. But yeah, you have to buy game bucks to win, LOL!!

or do what all the lames do and cheat!! link:: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/3520 ... _Steam.php (about)

Alliance of Valiant Arms

I think maybe CB and this game have a lot in common. It seems to have a good anti-cheat app running. Er I guess?? LOL!!

Played awhile tonight had a good time, I'm still just as crappy as I've always been in MP mayhem :D

It has some cool maps. One called Stadium, where you go at it with clubs and knives only :yahoo:

It's worth a look at, I'd say. :9:

Neither said how to start playing and or what I should or can ignore to play or should I bother. I have no credit cards and would not use it on these games if I did.

All in all my question was answered- you have advantage with a credit card- so I will not play them. Wish now I did not download them to start with but they offered bonuses also. It is all gone now tho..

Thanks.

The games free AVA, I didn't buy anything, trust me. They give you stuff as you play, and get promoted. I'm a corporal soon, that's usually

as far as I go. As far as playing the game, it's exactly like Combat Arms, if folks can play CA, they can handle AVA easy. :D

No you don't need a credit card to play, as far as I know. It is simple, a standard FPS affair.

Try it out erik. :9: oh you have.....don't worry about buying anything, I don't.

Yes, you can buy trick guns etc., with your credit cards, I don't, however....I just get euros and buy with it (funny money).

Na these games are gone- I should not have wasted time downloading them. I just wanted to try out something new is all.

Like the old saying goes nothing is truly free- no credit cards in these games you are at a disadvantage from the start.. Might as well be bioshock2 mp or something. You can buy better gear weapons and armor and maybe abilities- its not fair.

Been looking at some hl2 mods- I have played lots of them. Might find a few I have not played and might be good- I just need to maybe install hl2 or maybe just the source sdk base. Some mods you do not need hl2 installed just the base is fine. Need to read the mod info..
