========================

All I know is that the first game was a GFX Masterpiece and the Second is even better in the GFX department. The Story was Excellent the action awesome,

Mafia I and II are NOT to be MISSED!!! The Tommy Guns blazing away, was something else, the sheer scope and HUGE towns, like FC2 in the City.

As I said get this game or the first or both, PC Gaming at it's VERY BEST!!

OK, I got Mafia II free with my new PNY GTX470 card. Read some reviews, read the Steam Forums (you unlock then download the game thru Steam) and decided to give it a try. It's OK I guess, for a third person shooter. So far, about 2 hours into the game, it seems like 50% cut scenes! Am I watching a movie or playing a video game? Then there's 35% driving, and maybe 15% action, which is usually a fist fight, meaning mouse button mashing. It is a console port after all.

The vehicles are cool, all done in 40's and 50's. Very accurate modeling. Buildings, signs, trains, busses, all very well done. Voice acting is good, to. But, the AI vehicles are dumb as a box of rocks. So are pedestrians. Even the cops! Until you steal a car, then all of a sudden, there's a cop. Oh, well, at least it was a freebie. And I get to pick locks!

Agrees- but key binds are kind of crazy- or some of the stuff you have to do anyway- Will take some getting use to- but I like it so far. Wish it had more action. Seems action is as long as most cut scenes in most all other games and the game is mostly a movie and you play a small roll in it.. Pretty game tho- Driving is cool- I like to try and stay with traffic and obey lights etc- unless being chased that is- then it is crash up everything time-

Image

Image

Ha ha cars I steel are junk barely moving by the time I can get them to the junk yard- ha ha all shot up too.. I can not get crouch c to work tho for some reason.. I will figure it out I guess.

Oh ya check points- never really like them- I prefer normal saves. :D

See ya.

Had a custom plate- no money to fix stuff do not know where my car is now tho, but I have a lil blue truck I am driving now. I try not to wreck it- try. :D

Image

Oh ya what a few million folks in the city and my windows pretty much covered in snow- police spot me easy- I think I have a sign on my head saying police are stupid bite me or something- neon maybe. Ha ha gives me something to do I guess- I never played the game so I guess I am a cop killer from the jump. Thats cool too, I will figure it all out.

You get money by robbing bars, pawn shops, jewelry store, gun shops, stealing cars and deliver them to the auto wrecking yard (if you got that far yet to be introduced to the owner) One thing I really dislike, and it shows this is a console kiddie port, is the button mashing you have to do in a fight. Punch, punch left, right, punch, kick, BLEAH! Wish I could just shoot the guy. I would not have paid for the game, I'll say that. Free, no worries. I can't b!tch too much, eh? Time to go ruffle feathers at the Steam Railworks Forum. :D

Get um chris- ha ha. You said you have some probs with other steam games bioshock2 I think , some others maybe. They would see me often in the forums. They all might try and pass the buck tho game home site valve steam gfwl - piss ya off. Got your money tho..

Ya it is a port and keys might work might not- seems it lets ya get whipped some then you come back or something. If it was more responsive it might be better. I wish maybe crouch and cover was 1 button. In start if the game I had to press a key 2x for a nade what ever- I do not remember it now and do not see it in the key binds. It is some crazy key binds in mafia2. I like it tho - will finish it and make some videos etc- I can not say that about mass effect tho.

Ya I have met the guy at the junk yard and got my first car for him- the black gang tried to kill me. The first fight was cool- I did not try and fight or shoot all the others guys- I beat the 1 guy then got the car it was a mess when I got it to the junk yard tho- gave us 400 bucks I got 300 of that. Guess it will open up more now-.

I really like just cause2 tho. Might like mafia 2 the more I play it. Got some new games- Me good. Need my bud blue goo to hang out. :D :9:

The more I play this the more I like it.

Dam yahoos just burnt down my nice house. I still have my cars and some I fixed up are nice- but now I am poor and getting ready to start dealing drugs, but I will be rich soon I guess.

3rd view is still odd and seeing my character fumble around. Driving and fist fighting is more easy- fist fighting is more easy after I upped my mouse speed in the game to high- I think I will try extra high when I go back.

** Some of my favorite rides. I wish I could change upholstery colors. Guess I could take cars with seat or dash colors I prefer then paint them- You own them if you change the cars color, so..

* Mob. This is my mob business car. The Culver Empire. If I have to go on mob business or carry other mobsters this is my ride.. I only did engine tweaks on this.>

Image

I am about half way chapter 8 I think. I could make the game longer if not driving from 1 place to another for quests etc. But get out and walk around hunt wanted posters and play boys, or rob places. I have not robed 1 place yet. I do not know if I can just steel cars and sell them at the junk yard or he has quests to send me on. If I go there with a car he just says I have nothing for ya now. I have extra cars in the garage id like to get rid of for good, If I park them on the street- they are back in my garage. Maybe I can crush them and get rid of them at the junk yard. I do not know.

* Blue. 1 of my fav hot rods. The Shubert Frigate. I still need 1 more tweak from the mechanic sport tunning I think it is for this one. The car was black and white and the red interior- I wish I could change the interior colors. I think it is still pretty sharp tho..>

Image

I am basically learning the game. I will play it again and do the extra stuff and rob places and the bank quest. I did not find out until later it is a alarm I could have turned off and that kind of stuff. But I completed it and killed all the cops. The radio said a unknown man robed the bank etc. I learned about changing cloths and try not to speed what ever to get cops after me unless trying to get away what ever- then I do not care.

Image

Driving and looking at the city on the way to quests is cool. It is a pretty game. Would like to see my boy with a girl least 1x all his buds have girls maybe he does not like girls? I got the fist fighting down pretty good now. Better with cover and that type stuff too..

The rest of my fav cars. I still have to find a ISW 508 sports car- I have 1 slot left open for it. You get 10 garage slots. I figured out how to sell cars at the junk yard- you drive them into the crusher and crush the cars and stake body trucks etc.. I was near the end of the game before I figured that out. :D

** Me Mafia2 videos on youtube- tons more to upload..>

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 0436466889

* Lil Bat. My favorite ride in the game. The Smith Thunderbolt. I had it 2 tone at first then later painted it to Blue Indigo Night I think it is? Looks real sweet now. My Lil Bat. Reminds me of the Bat Mobile. I guess it is like the T Bird?.. I do not drive it all the time- But I like that it is fast and handles well and is small.. If going to murder and need to get away- This is It.. When you see this car out and about- normally some one is dead or dying..>

Image

Image

Image

* Mr. Cherry. My Smith Custom 200. Cherry Red and Snow White. When I drive this- I mostly go out for hand to hand fights and strong armed robberies etc etc. When you see this ride out- some one is going to get a beat down. I might still shoot um too tho..>

Image

Image

* Boo. The Shubert Beverly- Reminds me of the 57 ish Chevy. Man they look sweet even to this day..> Anything goes when I am in this ride. Can not remember the color blue but is buttermilk [white]. The Ladies like Boo..>

Will add more..>
