Xtreme-G nVidia Drivers

Postby MUff1N » Sat Jan 01, 2011 6:38 pm

I found these modified Nvidia drivers via another forum & they gave me a nice performance boost to
where Vantage scored over 23000! :9:
So If you'd like to give the Xtreme-G nVidia Drivers a go, you can download them from the link below.

I am afraid to use beta stuff. Maybe if I had extra money to buy stuff if I mess it up, and being I push for all the performance I can get or if I can learn to over clock stuff I would.

Other than that. I need my lil or old stuff to work until I can get better. I can not take chances. Even said whql drivers what ever half work half the time. Folks would be nuts with out programs like precision and can adjust fan speeds etc. Cards would be frying if left to default built in fan controls etc.

Hey ezeht;
These modded drivers are nothing radical at all from the WHQL drivers & WON'T screw anything up at all.
If you unpack them and look at the contents you'll see that they look almost identical to the original Nvidia drivers.
I have not once had a crash using these drivers & that is OCed by 28% the whole time!
I've done numerous test, benches & played games for hours on end using them too...
The only thing these drivers do, is improve the FPS you get in your games which is a big plus when running
all of the setting on High, Very High & Ultra with Extra in the graphics settings!
These are "great drivers" or I wouldn't have posted a link to them. :9:

You are right about using fan profiles though to keep your cards cool.
Also, OCing only becomes a threat to the life of your graphics card if you increase the GPU voltage (vddc) to high or let it get too hot!
Both of which I don't do...I don't increase the voltage at all & never let the card get hotter than 68c at full load while OCed. ;)
If I left it alone & let the cards bios take care of the fan's speeds it would radically shorten the life of the card!!!
Especially OCed like I have them all the time. ;)

Xtreme-G nVidia Drivers v266.58 Released!

Postby MUff1N » Fri Jan 21, 2011 3:24 pm

These new drivers without the XG tweaks already improve upon the 260.99 driver,
but the XG drivers improved on that to give even more performance!
Very good stable drivers & well worth the installation for gaming performance & framerate increases. :9:
You can download them here---> http://www.tweakforce.com/modules.php?name=Downloads

Here's my latest Vantage benchmark using them with a 35% OC on the card using MSI Afterburner to increase the voltage to 1.0870v. ;)

I'm pretty happy with the 260.99's so far, but if these give this much of a performance boost, I may give them a try. :geek:
1) Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3, Phenom II 970, 8Gb G Skill Sniper 1866, EVGA GTX670 2Gb, 2x 500Gb SATA II, DVDRW, Audigy 2 ZS w/ daniel_k drivers, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit RTM
2) Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 , Phenom II 955, 4Gb G Skill 1600, EVGA GTX 560Ti, 280Gb Seagate SATA II, crappy DVD drive (but it works, LOL) Win 7 Ult. 64 bit
3) AX78, A64 3200, 4Gb DDR2, awaiting new video card, 120Gb WD Black SATA II, DVD ROM, Win 7 Ult. 64 bit.

I've found 0 problems using these tweaked drivers in any game I've played thus far, old & new.
These guys have been doing this for awhile now so they know what they are doing with them... ;)
