i figured out how to delete the pda map mod in [ Basix Monstrosity CS v.2.5. ] and it seems to work fine.. the pda_mappack_readme that comes with the mod has wrong info..

from with mod pda mappack read me..>

""if you don't like the mod, just delete "ui_common.dds", "ui_global_map.dds", and all files inside "\gamedata\textures\map" folder""

the info did not give proper path or instructions- this is the path.xp.>

C:\Program Files\Deep Silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R.- Clear Sky\gamedata\textures

from textures- delete all that is in map folder- and in the ui folder delete ui_common.dds and ui_common-short.dds.

it is no file named ui_global_map.dds in the folder.

i could not find a file named ui_global_map.dds is why it was confusing me.. so i downloaded the mod pda map pack 1.2 it had the files ui_common.dds and ui_common-short.dds- but no file with global in the name- so i read on- seems it was a fix- [ pda map fix 0.8 ] that has a file named ui_global_map.dds and said to add it to the ui folder..

i did not try to add the global file.. i deleted the stuff i posted above.. i was not sure if i had to delete the short file and then add the global file or if ok to just add the global file.. so.. i just tried to delete the mod.. path etc above.. later i might try and add back the mod and the fix and see if it works.. i will try it both ways- with and with out the ui_common-short.dds file..

but it seems to be working good now- all the icons and stashes are back .. bodies disappear real fast so im going to try that script al b bach posted.. oh ya.. im using the 1.5.10 patch.. a few tweaks it seems to work fine.. i hope to get all flash drives and finish a game.. the zombies are cool..

oh ya- i noticed when you try to drive- the w-s keys are backwards- if you push w it goes backwards and not forward- press s it goes forward.. makes it hard to drive.. and i added the cam 1-2-3 etc.

all and all- its working.. i hope i can play a complete game..

i will update and let you all know how it turns out when i try and get the pda map mod working again.. named areas would be nice..

**you might like this mod scavy- it adds cut out monsters like normal and long arm zombies and cats and some others i think.. and you start out with a good suit and mg etc. and you can drive too. the mod gun you get is a abakan with scope luncher and silencer and its the same rounds as the vintorez and very accurate and has high damage etc. its pretty sweet. and the suit is the best clear sky suit.. you cant make any changes to the gun- but the suit is fully upgradeable..

snap dag it.. the mod runs fine- and bodies stay long enough so i can search them now [added that script]

but that dam drifter dude is still dying for no reason.. so im not sure if i can get that last flash drive in cordon or not.. i went back in saves and not saved him from the dogs yet.. maybe later after i join the stalkers- i will try and get that drive..

the game ending is what i have not seen yet-- i never got a gp37 in the game either- i think i get that mission from some dude in the red forest- but they are always dead by the time i get there- im not sure i notice a cry for help mission thingy either. im not going to sweat it.. im going to see the end of this game- i hope..

i think i will read on the scopes mod in complete mod--maybe i can remove it..

** oh ya.. i just ordered my corsair tx750 and a tx650 for my bud and some mx2 and 3x 80mm and 3x 120mm fans.. i wanted that gc2 grease but newegg did not have it.. it cools about the same as mx2- but you get near 2x as much for less money- and it has a lil application tool.. soon i will take apart and clean my bud dans and my computers and install our new stuff.. might even break down and install w7.. now i just need a new vid card and a lcd- good to go..

im going to fire up monstrosity. not being able to get that 1 lil flash drive is going to be in the back of my head all game.. its a lil thing i know- but the game should work and do what its supposed to do.. i hope i can finish a game or i might pop.. ha ha

any way. i was reading on scope mods.. i think i know how to delete the scope mod now.. i downloaded a few scope mods and looked at the files in the mod to see what folders etc they go to.. i wish i had thought of it the other day before i deleted the mod.. but complete mod- to tell ya the truth- i see no changes from the normal game other than the sorry scopes. it might be a few changes to carry or traders but thats about it.. and with complete i got the last f drive in cordon..

spartan and monstrosity actually add or change the game.. monstrosity adds most of the cut out monsters etc.. its pretty cool- makes cs even more like soc.. and most all the faiakes and basix mods started you in the game with some better gear if you wanted it.. you could start with out better gear too tho..

ha ha these mod guys get pissed if you have a problem or do not like part of a mod that is a collection of other folks mods all put together.. where other mod ers are better about trying to correct things or make you happy- tell you how to remove what you might not like-- and lots of folks really like the original scopes.. and some folks look to these mods for the simple fact it might fix bugs.. some of us can care less about being god stuff or extra powerful guns and suites and extra carry etc.. we have all that stuff piled on top- when all we really want or hope for is that maybe the mod fixes the game and quests and we can complete a game- we tolerate all the extra junk because we have too.. but some of the extra stuff is cool and as long as it works right etc..

if it was my mod and if some1 was nice- trying to remove something what ever- id help them.. i would not have a fit and or ignore them- they could still enjoy the mod- just maybe not all added to the original collection of mods.. its ok tho- i will figure it out on my own.. i will play on with this monstrosity mod- i like the zombies etc.. maybe after that i will install and try to fix complete mod and try and play again.. it would be way more easy if the dude who made the mod was not girl like- and just posted simple directions how to remove the scopes mod.. but i will survive..

i love stalker games- tho hands down- they are the most problematic games i own ..

** oh ya-- 4 more days or so.. borderlands dlc4 will be out.. not sure when this next patch will be out tho..

got my phat tx750 psu and 2x 120mm fans sitting here.. it might be a week or so before i mess with it.. im not sure if i have to register them at corsair- or if i understand right the warranty starts as soon as the end user gets the product.. i will find out for sure and i always keep receipts so..

monstrosity tried to whip me at agroprom- all of the stalker guys at the base was dead the first time i went there.. the trader and mech all was dead.. so i stopped playing and started from the spawn in auto save..

the duty guys was killed fast both times i spawned into agro.. them first guys was over run by dogs both zombies and cats and burer and suckers.. ha ha. i ran on past them to help the stalker at the base- seems no hordes attack the duty base tho.. the bots give the stalkers hell tho..

so- i ran in and killed 3 or 4 burer near the train cars- the other stalkers killed everything else and the trader and mech did not die so.. but- after you clear out the mutants [missions etc] its pretty normal after that- or so far any way.. i already got all the flash drives and a seva suit- ha ha i dont care if they all die now.. but i do use the traders and mechs.. so i hope they stay alive.

the underground had extra mutants too.. ha ha its funny when sucks run into fire anomalies etc.. they are invis you see fire coming at ya-- you think its 1 of them fire [flying] anomaly things.. then he roars or hits ya or something- i hate the burers and controllers..

i bet yantar is loaded with them- im not ready to go see the scientist yet.. i do not have a 7.62 sniper gun.. i have my vintorez and the mod gun i started the game with.. but i want a svdm-2 but want the silenced svumk2 too.. i have to hang out at the garbage dv area to find them.. it sucks you cant buy them.. i have not had a gk36 since playing cs. its a few others i have not got yet..

well for my game i couldnt get the scientist to open there door for me to go inside i even tried a new game and still they wont open up for me!! only 1 time i think in my 1st game they open up and i was able to go on but my 2nd and 3rd games all have no open door and i couldnt remember what i had to do for them to open up. so i stop playing CS and now the last format i havent installed it because of that 1 problem.

the last 1 1/2 wk i have been playing global agenda and been having much fun with it. and i got some great news with the mod maker for SoC inferno mod he is still alive and kicking which is great but the new inferno 2 mod is still not done yet which sucks. burt he is slowly working on it once again.

that game you are playing looks cool enough

cool- i tried 1 of them mods for soc.. it was ok but buggy if i remember right..

i like monstrosity mod. its just sometime you have to hurry- and kill some mutants before they kill bots you have to work with [traders etc ].

um at yantar and the scientist. if they are on alert he will not open the door. it must be a zombie or mutant near by. in cs zombies will attack in waves until you complete the roof top mission.. if any mutants or zombies are close to the bunker or if say the guard bots are on alert the door will be closed.. you can wait and see what happens - maybe threat will go away and bots calm down- or you need to go and hunt and kill what ever is near by.. if all is safe and calm the door should open..

i guess a bot could be between the doors might glitch it.. but if you go back a few saves what ever should fix it too.. all and all cs is cool- i like it better than cop-- cs has the ole soc feel and most of the maps are the same-- cs looks better and runs good too.. it just has the normal gsc buggy junk..

i think you would like the basix 2.5 monstrosity mod. im on my way to yantar now- for the first time in this game.. its just i went back to garbage looking for a sniper gun- and took some stuff to cordon to sell and get some rewards first.. i didnt find a sniper gun yet tho.. i dont want to go to yantar until i get 1.. ha ha i have like 220,000 rups and nothing to buy or upgrade yet.. i cant just buy what i want- and i have not found what im looking for either- so i cant do any upgrades..

maybe its time i join the stalkers.. i was trying to buy another seva- to spend money- and i want to upgrade different than normal. i want to give it some armor upgrades.. normally i get all of the elemental upgrades. im not sure if only the bandit mech can do all seva upgrades or not.. i think the duty mech can do them all.. thats why i wait to kill the bandits.. i do not fire on them- i run when i have too- like at check points etc. but if you help them a few times kill mutants etc- you are friends with them- other than check points maybe..

all through agro etc. as long as friendly with the bandits they will not shoot ya. you can walk around while all the bots fight and pick up guns etc.. you get shot or naded by accident.. i kind of wish bandits always attacked ya like in soc.. but other times its cool not to be bothered with them.. i will save first- then join the stalkers do a mission or so and get my seva and bubble- take the suit to the duty base and see if i can upgrade it..

good stuff.. be sweet if these stalker games was co op like borderlands..

well ez i have tried going back a few saves trying to get that door open but no matter what i do or did it is all ways shut. and i made sure that all of the enemy's where dead even the whole area was free of anything that showed up as red but still no open for me. but i have join the freedom so i can get my stuff all upgraded in CS since i was a super rich stalker rofl !! i had more rubles then i knew what to do with lol!!

but i was all ways the enemy of the bandits so i could never get all of the flash drives but i didnt care i got what i wanted after all. i had the best weapons and suites and they where all upgraded to boot. and after a while of playing i got tired and decided to kill the duty in Aprom since i didnt care lol so i killed them all every last 1 of them and i made more loot that way. oh thats how i became super rich lol. it was from all of the loot i got and sold.

i know i have tons of screen shots of the bodys laying around and then the creatures would come in and i would kill them to but you never got anything off of them which sucked!! but as for the mod i am talking about ran real good for me since he work with everyone to make sure of it. and the mod was called " ABC inferno" which he made by him self which was and is still the best mod for SoC yet. i was hoping he would get SC and CoP as well and make some of his mod to work with them.

such as his repair mod which was great cause you could fix all you have from weapons to suites and then when the weapons that are now 100% you would get more then when they wasnt. now his new mod "inferno 2" that he has been working for the last 1 1/2yrs now looks great and some of it even looks like SC and CoP to boot. with what he has done to it would kick ass since it makes SoC look like the other and what he made for the game would be the best mod out.

not all enemies show a red icon on your mini.. it has to be 1 alive near by.. maybe a zombie is between the doors.. are the guards on alert?? what about both sides where you enter near the bunker-- some times its zombies back on the hill across from the lil swamp too. and sometimes its zombies like if you come in the other way- the way in soc after you talked to kruglov what ever his name is.. either its a enemy around or its glitched- a zombie got between the doors or something.. its not typical- but it is gsc and a stalker game..

gsc might have another story idea for a stalker game.. now maybe they can add this into the power plant story.. make the stalker world even larger and new monsters and weapons but keep old weapons too- maybe new zombies or maybe crows crap acid on ya eat ya- gar eat ya- something..>
