this is free and probably will do what you want- i use it its the best ive found. the best conversions ive seen yet.. its a great program and easy to use too.. has more codecs than are listed on the page.. works with xp vista and w7 also.. its fast and batch coverts too..

it can split and crop has mp3 audio too. most anything you could want- it can do.. the only other of the type program i use is virtual dub.. but free any video converter is the chit.. if i had the cash id buy the full version with out a another thought.

http://www.any-video-converter.com/prod ... ideo_free/

or you can always google- type in free covert wmv to dvd or something like that- google is your friend..

i hope it helps ya.. see ya.. :D :9:

no probs bud- im glad to help- if you have any probs- just ask.. the program has profiles too- drag drop your vid into main window.. top right side has a profiles drop down- pick dvd [will be output] all other settings you see down the line has a drop down you can set what ever.. you might have to test a few times to get all your settings right and good looking video [test videos]- its just hard for me to tell or help ya and i do not have the video- also- i always go the other way- from dvd to avi etc..

probs you might have is the player.. some players only use a few codecs..

the only time i make dvds is from a movie disc etc. takes me a few programs and a pretty long process. mostly because of copy rights stuff etc. but its ways around it.. been awhile since ive made dvd tho..

well i did not have avc then either.. but im pretty sure avc will do what you want.. i love the program and its free- cant beat that..

um if you are trying to convert from a dvd disc movie.. because of copy rights you might have a prob.. but its tricks you can do to get around it..

use a player program like powerdvd5.. start the video playing and use the slider and go all the way to the end of the video and back and forth a few times- to make sure its all opened up etc... then close out of powerdvd etc.... then open converter program and do what you have to do.. because powerdvd opened and was playing the dvd it has unlocked it and copyrights stuff have already been bypassed- so it can be worked with converted etc.. but you do not want to wait to long after its been opened with powerdvd etc.. it might lock its self again.. its in memory etc is why it works..

tricks of the trade ive picked up over the years..
