well- that thread was a waste of time.. the patch is already out- it fixed nothing.. it just made the game ready for the next dlc.. and added gaming keyboard support..

yeah i saw what the patch was mainly for so i never bother with it. since the kb i have doesnt have that garbage on it so i dont need it rofl !! and yeah your thread went south fast

i just finished moxxi prove your self with my siren- no mods.. it only gave me a sdu and 1 skill point.. im not sure why- but the game did bug in the second map angelic ruins- i had to play it again. i made a video of the bug- well i recorded the whole thing some 76 videos.. i have not uploaded them yet.. 75 matches and the bots was lev 61 i did not die 1x..

i almost want to do it again from my older save game- and try to get the extra skill point- but id hate to waste all that time and still only get 1..

it was fun tho

yeah it is real tuff to do but yeah it took me a long time to get threw them all. but after that all i got was a skill point which in a way not to bad since i need it so when i shoot someone i heal them. but have you tried the next doors that open up after you finish the only mission in mad moxxie? if not dont it is a long long long long well you will get the picture if you did try. i end up using my rose shield and the stock mg to get threw it all. it still took me all most 2hrs to get threw

no i have not seen the others open up yet- guess i was not looking for them either- took me a good 8 hours just to play the 75 matches-- i might check out the other maps for a lil while just to see them- but im not trying to play all the way through them- and you get nothing for it.

i hope the 4th dlc dont suck-- be nice if they fix the few bugs- but i would not count on it- gearbox seems to ignore us.. its also said a goty with all dlc's will come out sometime in october.. i will be a old man oct 24th- 48 ha ha

We're pretty big fans of Borderlands here at IGN, Gearbox's first-person loot-fest, and it appears the community is large enough to warrant more content. The game has already received three downloadable expansions, and the last, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, was thought to be the final one. That is, until Gearbox announced another add-on, this one called Claptrap's New Robot Revolution.

But before getting into what'll be included with the Revolution add-on, Gearbox also mentioned there'll be a significant free patch issued to all Borderlands owners sometime in late September or early October. The patch will bump up the level cap for all players, raising it by eight. That means if you've so far only purchased the base version of Borderlands, you'll be able to progress to level 58. The entire original game world of Borderlands is also having its levels adjusted so you can run through again and shoot at higher level enemies, as well as the Crawmerax encounter in General Knoxx, giving you the ability to play through again and make additional progress.

If you're a Borderlands fan who purchased the General Knoxx content and already received a level cap increase of 11, then you'll still be able to progress another eight levels when the patch is released. That means 50 + 11 + 8 = 69. Gearbox is having a laugh at anyone striving toward that number.


Claptrap = serious business.

As for the Revolution add-on, it'll be priced at 10 USD on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms and be released on September 28th. The story begins again with a comical intro, this time a tale told in Diorama style as the Claptraps of the world revolt and begin to take over and modify the populace. The action this time take place in six new zones, each of which Gearbox assures us are sizeable. There won't be as much of an emphasis on vehicles this time around, so those tired of rocketing across wearingly long stretches of highway in General Knoxx will likely be glad to see a return to terrain meant more to be traversed by foot.

The area of Tartarus Station serves as your primary hub, and from there you'll be able to pick up on quest chains that lead you throughout all the new areas, and there'll be plenty of side quests to dig into along the way. Some of the new zones include large subterranean spaces and more familiar looking expanses of rocky terrain. Populating these zones will be new soldiers carrying large, medieval looking shields as well as plenty of new enemy types, many of which seem to be returning enemies that have been 'claptrapified'. Basically this means enemies have been turned into cyborg like creatures with various electrical modules sticking out of their heads and bodies.

Though there won't be any new raid bosses on the level of difficulty of Crawmerax (who coincidentally Gearbox mentioned less than one percent of players had actually defeated), there will be a number of new bosses as well as returning ones. Knoxx, for instance, reappears, and is as depressed as ever, cheering you on as you pepper him with bullets.

Regardless of what level you happen to be in Borderlands you'll be able to access these new areas. For example, in the demo shown all enemies were around 11 or 12, and after you run through the content once it's possible to do it again. Churning through the content twice will yield an additional total of two skill points, as well as the opportunity to further boost your inventory space if you can find all six SDUs spread across the two playthroughs.


More to kill, more to find.

It would seem Gearbox is very confident in the goofy humor angle for Borderlands, which has become a more integral part of the content that's been released since launch. Some of the claptrap units you'll fight come at you with big red boxing gloves, and across the walls of the valleys are posted mock Obama election campaign and Che Guevara posters, only featuring claptraps. During one particular string of boss fights you'll also find the area to be adorned with signs that promise candies and puppies and explicitly state that there's definitely no boss fight ahead, when of course there is.

From what was shown it seems like more of what people really like about Borderlands, and we're certainly looking forward to shooting our way through when it's made available later this month.

yep bl has that 1 pick up quests problem can get on your nerves- but if playing with same people all the time you can clear them.. i seem to crash sometimes- but even then its only playing co op and then it really seems to me it happens when folks are using the mod guns.. i cant explain or figure that 1 out..

** shorty is dangerous.. i think the more i play my siren the more i like her. and her skills tree adds most elementals to her attack- like when i kill something im phoenix for a few seconds- is why i run into the bots to set them on fire- and my melee has a acid attack- and when i phase walk- phase in or out i can change it to any element i want- and while in phase i have a shock attack- all of which is when close to enemies.. she also regenerates health while phase walking.. then built into her tree adds extra shields and protections to elements and more power added to weapons or even elemental weapons. she also has both sniper and smg extra effects from class mods etc. her character is deep really- but because of co op play- she is more said 3rd from last as best.. she also has a class mod- team find 2 extra rare items and she has team shield type stuff too.. she is fun to play. i think she is cute too..>

i have to say tho- all and all borderlands is the best game ive seen in a long time- some folks can complain about repititon- but do not all game do the same thing.. i like how bl plays- and really like it when playing human bots- its halarious to me when the psychos are coming at ya and all the crazy nosies or talking chit all the human bots do. and the humor and depth of references to quotes from movies what ever. and its no 6- 10 hour game.. i think it has as many quests as any 2 to 4 games easy- surely as many as stalker soc and fo3 together and thats just the stock game.. its really a never ending game if for nothing else- you can find endless gear and upgrades and money.. then add the dlc's some better than others and i hope and think this last clap traps will be cool.. borderlands is a sweet game..

i give it hell. complain when i do- i do for all the games i have and play- but i also point out the good or what i like- if i did not like them at all- i dont play them if i ever even finish 1 game- and i say that too. even if it was a gift- ha ha some might not understand that part- i hope not to offend any- but thats just how i am..

folks should give borderlands a go-- wait until the goty is on sale- soon after out steam will have it for like half price- so. its a great buy and play for sure..

oh by the way.. the guy from gear box in the gamespot video- said- " he is not sure this is the last dlc for borderlands or not- but because it might be- they made it large and over the top" in so many words- but the door is open for another dlc- man it might just keep on giving.. ha ha who needs a borderlands 2
