Using a second vid card for physics is a good idea with some games, that are not optimized correctly.

I'm not sure if the Physics card has anything to do with X16 , as I think all it's using is the Memory from it, as long as the memory is DDR3, a guy should be ok, (OR DDR5)

I'd ask at NV Zone to find out or Google? All those new cards from NV with etra Memory for Physics are made from cards that were still over stocked I'd say.

They ripped out the DDR3 Memory and stuck it into the new cards, so instead of a 900 meg card you'd have an 1800 meg card or 1200 meg version. As far as using a seperate card, don't really know

but what Chris said makes sense to me, then again, there are no PCIeX16 cards are there? Unless it's an AGP card. They use X8 interface-AGP. I kinda think they should have stuck with AGP and

made it X16, why not, oh $$$$ again, with PCIe X16 you had to buy a new MoBo etc. As well. PCIe offers faster connection from GPU to VRAM AFAIK?

I still think GFX card should be external, in a GPU BOX if you will. Buy a GPU BOX, with 4X PCIe X16 v2.0, whatever you want, better yet a BOX that you can buy ONE card and add Memory at will, say

start with 512, add 2 GIG's of VRAM DDR5 and so on....but that makes sense so it won't happen. Too bad though, if it was up to me I'd re think PC's as we know them today, completely.

Have PC's with a Mini AC unit!! Why not?? Think OUTSIDE the PC BOX!! Where it's cooler. My second HDD is outside my CASE. takes up no room inside and much easier to replace.

well i know Blue wont see this since he doesnt have the net where he is at now. but i know 1 day he will and be able to see my answer to his long awaited post. i think cs and cop are all most the same as these games go. but i am only playing cop right now since it has something that the other previous stalkers game didnt have, that is dx11. so that is all i am going for right now as games go. cause i want to see and enjoy this new dx version much as possible.

and since i can now do in game videos here is some.. 1st is my stash box at pripyat since that is where i made my HQ at now. uncle yar will fix anything i bring to him for free of charge. this is how i make my money now.

well i fired this up again 2 days ago- started a new game- still not doing a video play through tho- just a few odd videos.. ive only done 1 mission get the artifact the wheel- ive been more less hunting artifacts to get a few i need and a few weapons and repair them etc.. im not surprised that after all this time its still not 1 patch yet- i had hoped maybe they would come out with 1 to make the game run a lil better- like help the slow down points- but thought maybe a mod would come out and do it- but seems you get no sweet mods like we did with the first stalker game--

sucks really- but gsc being slack- well thats a freaken given- but cop is not a bad game- what pisses me off is the bots do not attack ya- like the bandits- unless you attack them- so it can get boring- im playing it on its most hard skill the bots are easy to kill mutants etc.. and it sucks they have nothing on them- like you cant search them like in soc- also sucks it takes all game to get good suits etc- it has its good points but its not as good a game as soc imo- i can say its less buggy- it might slow down but it never crashed- i guess thats a miracle for a gsc game for sure

been playing borderlands day and night for near 2 months now- need a lil change up--

been playing my nazi zombies too- love the custom zombie maps- some of them are huge- and you have objectives in some to open stuff up-- be nice if others played zombies and had the extra maps- some of them are hard to play alone after you get past 3 or 4 levs- some ive never completed they get too hard playing alone- some have new zombies some even go invisible or fire or shock- or every so many levs the hell hounds spawn in-- i love the zombies game tho..

cop still has its slow down points 3.5 gigs of memory or not- and bl crashed on me 1 more time too- says some loop iterations or something- i get 2 or 3 diff error reports- so its a few diff things making it crash it seems- never crashed on me in solo tho- and the first few days i started playing co op it never crashed the first time- the more folks started playing with me using some of the mod guns or some weapons have extra fx flying through the air seem to freak it out- but sometimes it crashed while spawning in or out of a location- so i dont know what to say-- love the game tho- guess of right now its my favorite-- i wish the new dlc would come out-

i have 20 bucks saved now- i might save for either mafia2 or singularity im not sure- i wish id rage was soon to come out-id save my cash to get it first- im in no hurry if i ever get fo vegas-- oh ya moh might be ok but its gfwl- that turns me off big time and i read it has no prone either-- i wish valve came out with a hl3- some day when real cheap i might get the new cod and bf game- im really in no hurry at all for them tho- dont know- i think its another few games out lately i said i might get someday- id still like to have timeshift too-

1 thing is for sure- 2k and bioshock will never get another dime for me dlc or new game- to hell with them fools- bio2 was more a rip than anything and buggy too- it was ok tho- but bioshock was truly a great game-- bio2 mp could have been a lot better- but 2k are monkeys or something and just want to milk folks- reminds me so much of beth and fo3- dont care if i never buy anything else from them either-- gsc is lucky i gave them another dime after buggy butt soc.. most all the games are a rip any more- 10 hours of play maybe buggy too and gfwl junk- man games suck any more-- least im poor and do not have money to waste on them or new hardware every few months- most of that never works as said either- and drivers suck what ever-

i tell ya the truth- i miss my ut04 game- i deleted it to make room to install some of my other games- be nice if it had a nice sp campaign- but imo no game even to this day can match its mp- if not for the hacker cheaters id be playing it right now- it was truely a great game and could have 1000's of folks playing it at 1 time- all servers full 24/7- i know i was playing it some 17 hours a day for 2 1/2 years and then maybe just the rankin map over and over again- i really miss it a lot

pc's and or gaming or as a hobby is not as fun any more-- we get less and less for our money- and then what we do get is buggy or half assed- and again- hardware never is as good as they said it was to sell it- nv drivers have been piss poor for a long while now- i really dont care if i never buy from them again- but i for sure will not buy ati- that is for dam sure.. so why bother- is how im starting to feel about it.. i think folks must have been real idiots to give 60 bucks for the last cod game and its short and gfwl too- freaken stupid for reals..

i should maybe skip buying anything for the next 2 years and save to get me a new monitor- this thing is small and i can barely see any more- but by then id guess the pc or psu will have blown up way before then.. gees i hate being poor- but i will live until i die- so..

been playing this the last few days- more or less a change up from borderlands- cop is ok- wish they would come out with a patch to address the bad slow downs- the game has been out what a year now and no patch yet- ha ha gsc sucks- always has.. be nice if bandits etc attacked ya too- the game is pretty boring on its face- and takes a long time to get good stuff or all of the tools to fully upgrade everything..

so im doing the bare minimum quests to advance to the next locations to get the tool kits- after i get all the tool kits and can upgrade all my gear how i want it- i will do all the other quests and or do them in free play mode.. be glad when i find my first vev anomaly and artifact detector- then i can find more or better artifacts- i just got that quest- so i should start finding the detectors soon..

*** a video i did of the yanov tool kits- and some gear i carry or picked up to sell- i do not carry a lot of the extra bullets or food stuff either- i picked it up to sell.. i finally figured out how to pause my videos and restart them too. so i did not have to make 2 vids to show tool locations etc. i can put them both on the 1 video- im happy about that..>

if gsc could patch and fix a few things and or if we could get a few good mods like we had with soc cop would be a great game for sure- im tempted in getting cs- its only 10 bucks these days- but i read its a really bad problem child- even more buggy than soc- but for 10 bucks and being its been patched a few times- im tempted to get it- it will be new to me and a new game to play- and i will have all of the stalker games.. 10 bucks and or free- its hard to complain to much- but really buggy crap can still make ya pull out some hair and get on your nerves really bad- so- i put it off still- i have the 10 bucks now-

ha ha i just blocked some fool on my stalker videos at youtube- some fan boy says he has all of the stalker games and played them all many times with out 1 technical problem- well thats a flat out lie- i let him know too and then blocked him. another fool on youtube with not 1 of his own videos- just a i need a friend list or a date or attention what ever- but will make stupid comments on others videos. i should ig such lil people- but they get on my nerves- least i did not cuss him out tho..

next chance i get to go to targets or bestbuy and if they have it clear sky [cs] for 10 bucks- i will pick it up- i dont want it on steam- the game is hard enough to run and have enough performance- steam running in the back ground will give my system added stress it does not need- or for hard on system games like this any way- i prefer the retail box games for mp too.. steam is great for what it is and some games imo- but not all of them.. free steam gifts- well- i cant complain- the game was free and im grateful and all. its just as said- ive found some games for what ever reasons are better if the retail disc game..

yeah i know what ya mean about the weapons and the ai. even if i kill the bandits like i do a lot they still dont attack me like they would in the other 2 stalker games. they will show up as yellow but never red till you start killing them lol !! well the monolith are all ways red and so is the zombie ai that are around. but make sure you dont kill any bandits near a safe place cause they will lock down and lock you out and fire at you. till they cool down and then reopen the safe house up. i call the safe house are where the traders and tool repair guy are at. but yeah getting all of the tool kits is not easy to find or do lol some are in a hard to get place and or have a lot of bad guys/creatures around it guarding it.

and the stashes are everywhere but they are not in box anymore they are out in the open laying around or stash behind stuff. the rpg is a hard 1 to get to since they got it stuck in this 1 spot !! but thats in pripyat lol but i do like the gfx on this 1 since i can play it in dx11 but i do need a mod to help with the game massive slow down after you kill a bunch of creatures. i think i posted it once before in this thread..

it puts a timer on the creatures cause gsc retardation they didnt put a timer for the creatures dead bodys to go away like the normal ai in this game like the stalkers or in my case bandits i have killed. they will go away after a day goes by but the creatures do not they dont have a timer on them. but the game is fun in free mode but after a while it does get boring cause it has for me wish it has more mods for it. i havent check to see if there is any new mods out that would be worth it yet.

so i guess you have clear sky- is it really as bad as every1 says it is [buggy]..

im sure i will have to dial back the graphics some- i have to with the other 2 games- tweak the settings up and down a lil until i find the sweet spot- what looks nice but still leaves me with enough performance to play and or record with.. it looks cool and looks good too.. i will get the last patch when i get the game.. 10 bucks- ya i guess i should get it- and being i love the stalker stuff- hate the buggy mess- but love the games..

yes i have paid for all 3 stalker games right now but i think i only have CoP installed right now, well i think. but CS wasnt to bad not like CoP is with the dead creatures not being deleted after a day or so. but it was fun when i was playing it.

well if they pretty much fixed it with patches- i guess ya i will get it as soon as i can- 10 bucks- cant beat that..

my old rig do me good for the most part- i really need a new psu before this 1 goes bad- id love to have 1 of them corsair tx750s that would keep me going a long time- i really need a new monitor too- but might need a new vid card to push it if i get a wide screen- surely if its 1920x1080p this vid card cant do that it would have a hard time doing 1680x1050 too. if i had a 5600 or 89w 3000 cpu id be good- i cant run the 125w cpus on this system- you need amd2+ or amd3 for them..

if i had my way- id get another crt- maybe a 21'' i seen a dell trinatron on the net a few months back- cant remem 21 or 24'' new- was like 200 bucks 1600x1200 at 85hrz i think it was- it will run more high res too- but 16x12 is recommended- for gaming thats what you shoot for 16x12 at 85hrz- id run it lower res tho- but i like 4:3 - guess i could get a 1280x1056 lcd- my system can push that ok i guess-

so to keep this system going and if nothing breaks- i need a psu and monitor and maybe a nv4700 dx11 vid card- if i had my way- id buy an all new intel i5 system- dont know if id want quad core tho- i read they are not so great at gaming- duel cores seem to still be most liked- but i think you can get bad ass i5 duel cores too so-

hmm maybe a amd2 2+ am3 mobo- might need ddr3 tho- but i could still use my cpu or put it as back up and get me a more powerful 1- might be the cheaper route anyway- but the intels have been kicking amd ass the last 3 years or so in gaming etc.. its just my oc at 2.7g is a lil weak these days- and or pushing monster vid cards and or trying to do high res gaming- my system cant do it-- i dont really care- i dont have to have 1920x1080p- its just you cant really buy crt's anymore- so- im pretty much stuck having to buy a high res monitor and need a monster system to push that big sucker- for gaming anyway- it sucks really- my crts are way more versatile imo..

well ive been playing the heck out of this lately- stalker games can be buggy- but they are great games- its nothing else like them- the atmosphere and world and story and i let the game music play low- it just sucks you in.. they are not so easy either- bots and mutants or anomalies will eat your lunch if not careful- but i play them on most hard skill after i play them 1x to pretty much learn everything..

anyway. im now trying to figure out what i need to do to get all the upgrades to my gear or suits.. i got all the tool kits but its 1 upgrade not open yet.. im not sure if i have to complete some mission or find some more documents or what.. so. im going to check out the net- its not hard to miss a set of docs when hunting for them- but too i played the game doing the bare minimum of missions etc to get to pripyat and the last set of tools.

i didnt get or find my first veles detector until in the pripyat tunnel and fighting the last zombies just before you go up the ladder into prip.. so. i could not find or pick up any high end artifacts until i got to pripyat.. in fact when i went to prip i had only 1 achievement.. the only missions i had done was- get the wheel for beard and get the data from the mercs for owl and to open up find the 3 veles detectors mission- and from yanov station area- you have to do a few missions to get your team together to goto pripyat.. so- i had only did maybe 5 missions or so to get to pripyat.. but i had good and upgraded guns and suits going to pripyat- but waited until after prip to get me a exo suit the best in game for safety and carry and has night vision- id love to use only the seva- but they have no night vis in this game- sucks--

but the exo has more carry- comes in handy when moving lots of stuff to traders etc- and you can carry extra stuff to and from prip because in prip you can get all your gear fixed for free- save some cash and or sell the stuff when back at the other areas to the traders- where normally- if to low quality you pass it buy- or you have to pay to fix stuff before you can sell it.. after you get to prip and say you want lots of cash for what ever reasons. you can pick up all gear and store it and next time to prip load up and carry stuff and fix it for free and then take and sell it or some stuff keep to upgrade and use etc.. thats cool.

so- all 3 of my boxes 1 each in the different areas all have the same type gear and fully upgraded- other than suites- i dont have say a exo or seva for each box or yet anyway-- the 1 guy at the start area boat you buy high end gear from will not sell me anymore assault guns- whats his name nimble- im not sure if that is just for a while or for the rest of the game- but i have a lynx- tide-and other sniper and has a silencer on it- and 3 types of assault riffles the storm -gp37 i think it is and the other thing that looks odd and has a nade launcher on it- cant remember its name now fm2000 maybe.. the storm is my fav but i like the gp37's too- and i have 1 auto shotgun from nible too- but i like the shotguns with the barrel clip more and can put a scope on it- its also full auto- a terminater i think....

but i have many of near the same guns and all fully upgraded too- just they did not come from that guy that gets the said good stuff nimble- so ive had and spent lots of money- my seva and other suits i bought or military suit from pripyat is all upgraded other than each seems to have 1 upgrade not done yet- so- i need to figure out what i need to do.. and start doing all the quests i have not done yet-- oh ya.. im in free play mode now- i got strelok off- but the captain died- i didnt feel like playing that again to get him off safe- as long as strelok makes it- all is good.. i like to have all my boxes stocked up well and near same guns incase i have to leave my guns in 1 area- i have near same guns in my box where i have to be going to- and can carry more stuff to sell what ever.. but my main gear i carry is my high dollar stuff i bought from nimble.

so- im back at it soon.. love the stalker games- buggy stuff can piss ya off sometimes- other than that- they are great games.. i will add some screens etc laters maybe.. i have to turn off my recorder or the game might crash to dtop when trying to spawn to or from prip for some reason- it never did that before.. glitchy.. but i worked it out.. soon as i can get to targets or bestbuy and they have clear sky for 10 bucks im buying it..

hmm newegg has it for 9 bucks and free shipping.. maybe i will order it this weekend when my bud dan comes over..>
