Computers? I had one of those Toshiba's like John had. Never did a damn thing with it. But my first was a VIC 20. Still have it. Then a C46, an Amiga (still have it) a bare bones with an AMD K6 400 (3D NOW!) then a couple VIA/ P4 boards, an MSI (hated it) a DFI, then it's been Abit since my AV8. Got this KN9 SLI when they first came out, and love it.
Wish I could remember all the model numbers, but they fade away once the box gets thrown out or the card/ board gets given away. I don't think I've trashed one of my cards or boards, they all get to live long lives with a new owner. Chris.
I hear you, I probably wouldn't remember half the ones I had either, but over the years I kept the Ebay links to the cards I sold all the way back to 2000.
As far as the Toshiba goes, I did a lot with the T-1000 and if it wasn't for that laptop I wouldn't be where I am today. (Broke and Unemployed

) But seriously though, I got it for work when I was an Exterminator, or at least that's what I told my wife.

Anyway, picked up several books and learned MS-DOS and Batch Filing or Scripting as it's now called. I used it for keeping track of customer sales, wrote a Bug text-based database compiled from several books I had and it was search-able using a DOS batch file I wrote so I could look up life cycles, descriptions, treatments etc. and I would bring it into people's homes when doing sales calls. Impressed the customers and my boss quite a bit because way back then it was a pretty big deal, at least for an exterminator.

It was not in anyway suitable for games though, but I did manage a few rousing games of Jeopardy on its two color non-back-lit screen. Also forgot to mention in the last post, it also used an 80C88 Processor going at a blazingly fast 4.77 Mhz., no I didn't misplace a decimal point.

They made several different models back then some had a hard drive and some came with dual 3.5" diskette drives. I believe mine costed around $900 at the time. Found this little write-up on it under Diskless Wonders ...
