Win 7 installation slow due to onboard graphic?

Postby cas » Sun Sep 06, 2009 2:25 am

I try to install win 7 on the existing rig, (look at my sig) and at some point of time it took ages to install. I wonder has it to do with onboard graphic? As i do not have a spare dvi to vga converter so currently i can't use the 9500GT for the time being

Initial stage while loading the blue bar is fine till it copy some files is like either stop or wait till sometime then it load or complete. Installing xp is pretty fast though

On rig #1 in my Signature, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit took about 25 minutes until I got to a working desktop. Could be the speed of your DVD drive or the hard drive but I can't see why the onboard graphics would make the install slow.

Crap, sorry I didn't send you one of those adapters. :( But I couldn't find one in all my stuff. Chris.
