Wish to make sure queries on ubuntu.....

what kind of questions do you have?

Though i've set a user acc setting to under privellege. And under user privellege tab i ensure that the option of connection to the internet is checked, whereas all other option is not checked, example use cd rom drive and audio device. (purpose of not checking is to restrict user from accessing or using some devices like cd rom drive or file sharing) But then when i switch user acc to the under privellege user and trying playing music or run application using the cd rom drive i'm still able to play and access, btw is running ubuntu 8.04,

Hmm where have gone wrong? Isn't is suppose to be disable since i've have not check the option?? Anyone know why?
