OK, time for a new topic. As the title says, and this was a cool topic back in the Abit Forum days, what's for dinner?
Mexican tonight, chicken enchiladas with that green sauce, Spanish rice and frijolies. (yah gonna fart later) Wooo, throw a bit of Tapatio sauce on top, nice spicy meal. Gets the colon working.
Tomorrow, me and Greg (my roomie) are going downtown LA to my favorite hole in the wall diner: http://nickeldiner.com/
That glazed doughnut with bacon is just the most great desert you have ever had. We take the Blue line to the Red line, then walk from Pershing Square three blocks. (oh, we do have to drive to the Del Amo Blue Line station) Half the fun is the train.
Then Saturday, it's Italian for brunch: http://www.eataliancafe.com/
best damn thin crust pizza ever! Gelato is made in house, as is all the pasta, even the motzarella cheese is made in house. The Tortelli de Zucca with butternut squash is elegent. Nice cup of cappuchino. Teramisu cake for desert. And it's in an old T Shirt making warehouse, that moved to China. In the middle of a warehouse district! They do over 200 pizzas a day take out.
Tuesdays is always sushi night. http://www.sushigonewild.com/
Me and my friend Tim have been going every Tuesday for over 2 years. We have two seats reserved for us. You gotta have reservations, it's a small place, and always packed. Fantastic, wonderful, fresh fish. The Albacore, the Tuna, the fresh water Eel, all the different rolls, just amazing. Happy hour prices, for the two of us, and we pig out, $32.
Maybe some Teryaki tomorrow night. Or I could do Thai food up the block next to the ice rink. They have a "red pot" that is chicken, shrimp, crab and lobster in rice and it's amazing. Or just Orange Chicken. Or the salt and pepper shrimp. I don't eat the Jalapeno's tho. Don't want that burn in the morning thru my backside.
