For me, other than live range while serving in the armed forces last time, the only shooting range than i went for leisure is at pataya at thailand many years back

Oh, yeah, lots of times. I have a Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum. Haven't used it yet on another person, so I go to the range about once a month.

But, they don't allow rifles, just hand guns, so I have to take my 30.06 out to the desert to practice with it. The scope is sighted in for 50 yards. Cans and bottles are the targets.

I see, basically during my time in the forces, we are only given the opportunity to mess with rifles, M16, SAW, AT4, LAW (Light Anti-Armor) M203, Gpmg etc but doesn't get the chances to mess with pistol or hand guns. So is kinder fun messing with semi-automatic pistol, .38 S & W

I think those would be fun to mess with.

Been to many ranges and have used many fire arms, have not been in a long time though as I have no need to hone my skills professionally any more.
