Saw the spec CPU 2006 comparsion and with the following result

With Hyper Threading enabled, yes.

Wow so does it really run much faster than a C2D or Quad since it have 8 core and if one doesn't feel much difference then is not worth the money

I have no place on my board to change that option. Yes older board you could but newer boards I don't thing you can.
