Is my Combat arms account being hacked??

Postby cas » Mon Mar 15, 2010 3:01 pm

I'm so shocked to see my acc GP only left 464 and now i can't buy any stuff like weapon, light vest, helmet. I've been playing daily and for mth since last year till now and my point has been accumulated. Kinda shock that all of a sudden my acc left 464 gp....... could it be someone hacked into my account?? I remember i recived email twice from nexon asking me to change password twice

Any way to remedy tis problem? As in post at nexon/CA forum?? :(

Wouldn't surprise me. That game is the top of the list of "most hacked multi player" games.

yes, try posting on their website. did you change your password like they suggested? if they asked you to do that, most likely it was because they knew of a security breach.

I had my Steam account hacked once, I changed the password to one that has numbers and letters, it's not one that someone else could ever just guess off the top of their head. ;)

Prior to receiving the email from them, my acc is fine and the accumulated GP was there, then got one nite, i can't access CA whereby i get a error as in my IP address is ban blah blah etc.

When i check with peep here, they also face similar issue, not long i received a email from nexon asking me to change the password, was kinda surprised how could they have send me twice within 2 mth asking me to change my password, leading me to suspect it could be a false email claiming to be from nexon or else how could i have change my password and yet i still got hacked, wth...............

If your account has been hacked there are but a few possibilities to how it happened....most are ending with your computer has been infected.

As I say this I keep in mind that surely you have not visited any NEXON GP doubling sites, nor have you accessed your email / Forum / Game account on a computer you do not own, nor do you use the same account name / password on any other sites.

If you feel that someone is accessing your account, you must completely clean your computer, then access the NEXON site, change the password yet again.

You also have to be careful about e mail's that ask you to change your password, or ask for all your information. I have had fake e mails from places claiming to be E Bay, Net Spend (my credit card company) and Pay Pal. They all look legitimite but they are called "phishing" scams. Even the company logo's look correct. Best thing is just don't give anyone your personal information. ;)
