sorry- i just seen your post-
um how long is your vids and what is its mbs size- youtube lets you upload videos a gig in size but has to be under 10 minutes..
also. what codec did you use to make the videos- avi etc? some codecs can look like crap after converted and depends on video bit rate and other things it was made at.. but
try this with vd..>
top of vd gui. make your splits with these settings..>
options- set to sync to audio.
audio- set to direct stream copy.
video- set to direct stream copy.
my self when making videos- and using zd- for avi wmv i set to video data rate 1500 kbs- res or size to 512x384- most all my videos are at 10fps these settings are for mpeg4 v2- v3 and wmv- and i set config near where the codec drop down is anywhere from 97% to 100% crisp or [quality]- i normally most always use mpeg4 v2 [avi]. and too- im not sure what your video is about.. but its no exact science to this either- you may have to test and try a few different things and upload to youtube and see how they pay back-- what might look perfect on your pc can look like pure chit on youtube and after it converts it again to its flv or mp4 what ever it is codec and resizes too.. ive tossed 1000 test videos- before i find the sweet spot that looks good on youtube playback..
that video data rate is important to set it the same for all conversion programs-- that free any video convert- top tight pick profile or codec your video was made with- its profile will pop up under it same right side- you can go down and click each line setting and manually type in what you want if its not in the drop down- again set all settings same as original video..
if you used zd to make it you can open program and see your settings- or you can use gspot or from what ever player you use right click look for about this video etc. it will give ya stats on its settings fps etc etc.
a lot of them converter program profile settings default etc. i do not like them-- and or for type videos i make game play etc. data rate 1500 is best..
you can make a lot of custom setting changes using vd too- from video- set to full processing mode- but you should not have too just splitting- direct stream copy is 1 to 1 same to same lossless- it just splits it.. but. i use any video converter it makes better looking videos 100% of the time.. vd and some others can be more hit or miss.. im not sure why but its true..
when you set up zdsoft- how did you set your audio.. id use this.. mp3 128kbs is best for rock music etc. same if not better sound [rock music] from wma is 96kbs.. but for most any video mp3 64kbs is fine- and cbr is best [constant bit rate]..> the lame settings is mp3- it is a seperate mp3 setting too- but lame takes less system resources..
these are my basic settings making my game videos- i drop to 64kbs.. any way stock video sound. if not converted or recorded in say wma or mp3- the audio part of the total video file or size can be well over half the total mbs- say a 2gig file size- over half can be audio. if mp3 was used- that 2 gig file would be less than a gig in size.. standard video audio is the same large size and codecs as a music cd- say a 700mb cd coverted to mp3 is what maybe 100mbs or so..
any way- i need a nap- ive been up a few days- i hope im not confusing ya-- im just trying to give you lots of info.. i will help more later if needed. its just im not sure what you are trying to do- or are you using a mic what ever-- it would be more easy if i was at your computer.. i hope you get it all how you want or need...>
see ya
