AN-M2HD Raid drivers...

Postby Greybear » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:44 pm

Person on the nVidia forum having issues with this board and raid driver installation with Windows 7 64bit.

Anyone got this working and remember exactly which driver they used or having issues and how they fixed it?

Trying not to spam, but why? (warning!another raid argument!!!)

It makes only a fraction of an improvement and is twice as likely to catastrophically fail to where recovery is exponentially more difficult.

Tell him to go ssd if he needs fast.

If he's doing the auto-back-up deal, most external hard drives come with archiving software.

benefit vs. pain in the @$$ = not worth extra effort.

you know your quad core is able to run OS/2 . ancient tech. still works though

Definitely do not need to tell me....There are more than a handful of people that bork their raids yearly and leave you scratching your head as to why they thought raid and the headaches were a good idea.

Including the inevitable death of the board and controller.

It's just a tad geekier and that's all..

Like the guy who will only use stereo bluetooth gaming headsets on his desktop and complains about needing to re-link all the time. I tried to convince him to go wired and he would have no part of that. I then told him that I only help people with real problems and blocked his posts on that forum so I wouldn't be annoyed by them anymore. ( I don't miss having mod-privileges at the N.Egg forum at all)
