A little graphical help.

Postby Greybear » Sat Oct 10, 2009 4:39 pm

Well, a few days ago, I visited Here and noticed that the Graphical of my character looked really ugly...

So, today, I decided to try out 2 newer driver version to see if it would improve them. I try the 178.24(a) and the 163.75(c). Where I was using the 93.71(b)......as youll notice I have a / b / c behind them. This is a JPG with htem in that order.

Image

To me, I see no difference what so ever.

Now, If I can, get you guys / gales to veiw the original page and compare to my picture....

What I see is some whitish outlime around the body, the right side outlines the outerpart of the gun. You cannot tell where the body on the right attaches to the gun. I have white spots on my nose. The vest with packs is just 1 solid black, so you cannot tell straps from packs or belt.

Now, All graphical settings are at DEFAULT. I do not change them. So, 93.71 was taken with no nV MSCONFIG entries, no NV Services running. The other two both had NV MSCONFIG and SERVICES running.

I did play with Coloring / Contrast / Brightness / Gamma - the real change was with the words COMBAT ARMS right under my stats when looking at the character model.

If you do not mine, check the link, compare to my description, if your is diff than mine, take a screenie and post it. Looking for suggestion to improve mine if yours is different.

7600GS (good card, not a great card - but good enough :) )

If everything else with that game and with Windows is o.k., I would say it's an issue with how the image is displayed by the game. Also, I see exactly what you are seeing by the way you describe it. Looks like shit.

If you're not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room

Thank you. Thought it was me, just didnt remember it looking so crudey before. So then I started playing with my user control settings, then thought driver. Was just trying to tweak the system a little more.

Back to my original driver, thanks for confirming that for me.
