Yep Chris Transformer is Right :9:

I love the looks of it, but beyond looks it's a FULL TOWER case, not a midsize. You can't BUY a Bigger case both inside and out. :D

The inside is totally Black, the only colors on my case are blue and that's the my Cooler-Master(s) 200mm Silent (almost, damn quiet let's just say).

I love the looks of my case, maybe some think it's odd looking? Yea Guilty as charged, however I love Art/Art Design, I was an ART major in Collage btw.

That and I grew up reading Comics and LOVE the Transformer Movies (special fx). I love Robots, as you may know by now :D Had several as a KID, well

it turns out that that kid part of me will always be there. So for ME and me alone (at this forum anyhow  ) the Looks of my case mean a lot to me

it's not a simple black box, no. Anything but that. It's FUN to look at, I'm very proud of my case, I won't buy anything different if I did it again. Plus I like

things that Glow and Light up. At night when I game, it's awesome looking, WOW!! :yahoo: It's future proof as well, and has all the State of the art features

anyone could possibly want. I guess folks may like it better if it was a Black Brick design, not me though. :Bananas:

It all Comes Down to what a Person Likes, and if said Person is Happy with there case, both design and functionality, So if You Like yours and are Happy who cares

what anyone else thinks, right?? I think we all have to agree on that, no?? I'm Happy with my Case your Happy GD (will be) Happy, why we're all Happy Campers

That is all that matters.... ;)

I'll be headed to the tech mall on Tuesday, so I guess I'll look at each and then decide. I am also considering the Lian Li PC-7FNW, but it cost about 40+% more than the SilverStone and Enermax......the Lian Li looks the best imo, what do ya think?
Image

I like the Lian Li PC-7FNW, myself why? It's got a Bitchen Side window!! Lots of features and what not as well. It's De-Activated @NewEgg however.

Link:: Lian Li PC-7FNW :: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811112250 (read feedback, 92% rated :9: ) it was last priced there at 80 Bucks!!

No Clue why they don't Stock it at all anymore? Might be an issue with them? Who knows? NewEgg carries tons of LIAN case's though and some very expensive one's I might add.

Here's that Side Window

Side Window PIC Image all lit up!! (only yours would be red right?? Both Colors look great.)

Very Nice case, the one I'd get, stylish, but not dull. Nice selection, IMHO.

While we're on the subject of cases, here a cool Fan Temp Control System Link :: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811992005 NEWEGG

Image

This temp/fan controller is Cool as F#@K!! the NZXT Sentry-2 5.25. Fits into Drive bay and really adds some personality to your RIG, IMO. :)

I guess I'll be the only kid on the Block with a FULL SIZED case, oh well... :9:

Lastly Chris's Case is Awesome as well (82% 5 Egger) Thought I was gonna leave my bud out, no way Jose. 110 buck with 1,284 Reviews

Who knows how many folks bought that didn't review it, so I'd say NewEgg has probably sold 2 thousand of them by now. That says a LOT right there.

Is this yours Chris?? Or is it a different one?? Either way, you can't go wrong with Cooler Master :9:

Image

Excellent Choice too...though it looks like a Transformer, LOL!!! :D My RX-1 Overseer (Transformer):: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.a ... =2068#Tab2

Yep, that's mine. I got it from New Egg on sale for $80USD with free shipping. Which was great, this thing weighs a lot.

I dunno what it is about me, but I can be so fickle and hasty when I am at the mall. I was there last night, so after carefully planning and narrowing my choice down to the Enermax Ostrog, Fractal Design Arc Midi and the Lian Li PC7FNW......I went with a Thermaltake Commander MS-II. What the heck made me do that?! :? Seriously do not get myself at times.......I can be sooooo....fickle. Sometimes I luck out doing assinine things like that, but the MS-II proved that sometimes it is better to stick with your plan. I am not saying it is a crap case, but cable organization was certainly NOT a priority. I gutted the FX build in the Sharkoon case and transferred it to the Commander MS-II. Reason why I did this was because the Commander has internal front panel USB3.0 support, unlike thw Sharkoon which uses an old skool USB3.0 connector to the back. I had also gotten a PCIe x1 USB3.0 (x2) card to plug into the LGA775 Asus Maximus II Formula board to make it USB3.0 capable and have installed this mobo into the Sharkoon case. I will use the old skool Sharkoon USB3.0 connector on one of the USB3.0 ports on the card to enable front panel USB3.0 connection leaving me one spare USB3.0 port on the card. I will be back with pics, gonna have to go to the mall again tomorrow since the case came with only one exhaust fan, so I am gonna have get at least 3x 120mm fans. Now, I am gonna have to figure out what color bling bling aka LED to add to this setup......

Re: well, I did it, Excellent choice GD!!

Postby BlueMonster » Tue Jul 10, 2012 12:23 am

Well GD, I gotta say, you made an EXCELLENT choice , followed your Gut feelings on this I know, but what ever you can find wrong

with it, such as cable management can be tweaked to your liking, it's similar too mine, yes, but Not all that Transformerish (thanks for that Chris, btw :D ).

On my case both side panels are removable as yours are I'm sure, hide any cables on the side with access to your CPU etc. there's plenty of room in my case to do this

and I image the same holds true for the Thermaltake Commander MS-II case, might have to spread them out some, but nobody will see the cables under that panel.

Both our cases are Hella cool (temp wise) get two blow hole fans and you'll get it even cooler. I have only one blowhole fan thus far, a 200mm Blue LED from Cooler

Master, I'm sue cooler master has fans that work awesome for you as well. Can't go wrong with Cooler Master cooling!! It's dark in these cases, whoa!!

I mean BLACK DARK, which really makes it look so bitchen, but kinda hard to see much without a flashlight, while working on it inside. Got a GOOD flashlight ;)

Personally, this is my very FIRST Thermaltake case, and sure I was gun sh when buying it, but when you consider bang for the BUCK, Thermaltake has that in Spades IMHO.

Welocome to the Exclusive Thermaltake club, you'll grow to love that case you bough, trust me. I did., and never looked back, never thought it was a bad decision either.

And as I said before if I had it to do all over again I'd still go with Thermaltake, Love my RX-1 Overseer. So nest I'll post the main Site for your case...

MAIN LINK TO CASE :: @ThermalTake :: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.a ... 94&ID=2096

Next up, some PIC's of Course!!

Image

Image

Image

This case even has a Fatal1ty board!! Whoa!! Brings back found Memories. Image so all you need to do is really just change the color

scheme, and what not, mine came with the color I like, so for me it was easy peasy (who say's that all the time? Chris again :P )

You can add PCI cards to do anything you want, like add more USBX3 connecters or whatever, I love having the External USB3 ports on the top of mine

plus the internal USB3 port, if you don't have one and this goes for anyone, get a PCI card that will do this for you, there's a gang of cool stuff you can

modify your case with, not just PCI cards, for example I still love that Case/cpu etc, monitor/controller I spoke of earlier.

Image

Image

So GD, don't look back, your case ROCKS!! 'Nuff Said!! :yahoo: Oh and looking forward to your IMAGES.

Hey guys, I'll be a little late with pics as.......my OCZ Octane SSD died on me like suddenly. I'd decided that the Commader be your fave color, BLUE, and have gotten blue LED fans and an LED strip to really brighten things up. Was happily gutting the Sharkoon T28 and transferring its gut (my FX build) into the Commander case. Had everything set up nicely when I hit the power button......ZIP, NADA, ZILCH! Fands and the board lit up as usual, but just got a DOS like command prompt on my screen. I have called customer service (referred to as Service Centers locally) and described my issue with the SSD, they assured me that all I had to do was to bring the full OCZ package with the receipt, and I'll get a brand new SSD once they confirmed that it's dead.

I'll be back with some pics of the blue lit Commander case, and Blue, this isn't my first Tt case, you've forgotten that I have this housing my main rig -
Image

I've changed the color of my sig to reflect the LED color of the rigs, two red and one blue...... 8-)

Nice PIC GD~

Though when you get her all lit up, and take a shot of it at Night (in the dark) it'll look so much better, IMHO.

In person when I look at my case anytime, it's solid black with Blue trim, in the dark the Lighting really makes it look Bitchen!!

I know your case is a solid Black too, so what you see in a PIC is not how it really looks, is my point. That case is very Hansom to

look at in person, we loose a lot through our pic's, as I mentioned. It takes a lot of PIC's too pick from to get the BEST image.

I mean look at the PIC's I posted of your rig (case) on-line, looks way different huh?? Anyhow I think your case is future proof for a long time.

Will it house HUGE CPU Heatsinks?? Yeah, it should, mine has the 200mm fans that take up 30mm (25?) in thickness, so it can be sorta close,

but the case misses the Heatpipes easy, thank goodness. I was worried about it until I bought my side fan (200X30mm- 200 wide, 30mm deep)

however the good folks at Thermaltake accounted for this. My Heatpipes/fan assembly is 7inchs tall, WHOA!! From board to top tip.

Now nI'm gonna get an ashtray installed, LOL!!

Image JUST PLAYING!!, but they do make these!!

Damn all my case badges are stuck forever on 'OL Blue, so all I have now is a Cooler master and NV Badge, looks clean though. I have about 10 or so on 'Ol Blue.

Man GD, I'm sweating my ASS off here, it's 110F outside!! FREAKING HOT!! Maybe I'll post about the Heat too, 87 people have died do to this heatwave across the USA!!

I keep my Bedroom and Bathroom doors closed, and run my AC unit @100% all day just about!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

So it's fine in my Living room, but is so HOT in the back of my Crib, you could fry an EGG!!

Still think you made the Best choice GD, I know you'll be very happy with your case, guaranteed for three years BTW. (at least they are in the usa)

Here's a shot from the front of the Commander MS-II, note the brightness of the blue LED strip and fan on the side panel. It's damn.......ummmm, bright! What do you think? Should I call it 'Lil Blue? ;)
Image

Also scored a pair of Corsair SP-120 fans for my main rig, it comes with red, white and blue circular 'strip' to match the interior of a case, 'course, it's obvious which color I'd gone for....

Guess, I need to stop watching Top Gear, Net Flix, You tube, playing games, and put rig #2 back together so I can get back into the thick with Folding. You ever want something to push your rig to the max, run the GPU and the SMP client. 99% on the GPU and 100% on all cores with the SMP client. Brutal. That will heat up your room, fast! I'll be getting my other loaned out Phenom 9600 rig back soon, so I anticipate a warm summer. :D
