I'm looking for memory for my Abit AA8-DuraMax MB. I would like 2gigs { this is for mother-n-law + folding rig } and it doesn't need to be anything special. She just uses it for normal crap like email, Quicken,some games { basic stuff }.It is going to be used with a Intel Pentium 4 660 CPU. I won't be overclocking this at all.


What do you guys recommend ???

I've installed a Phenom 9650 onto my AN-M2HD with BIOS 20 and it actually works quite well. It benchmarks slightly under what a few benchmark programs say a 9650 should do which is OK for me.... I mainly bought it for HD video processing.

Since I updated my bios to the newest which is m628a_20.bin when I turn the computer on it turns on and off many many times then finally starts up working just fine. It does this every time you turn it on from an off state. I have tried to contact ABIT with ...

For the AX 78, for Vista (Win 7 actually) The Marvel site is weird. I downloaded what they said was a driver and all it was was 5 files, 2 of them text and the other 3 useless. Went to the UABIT site, the USA site times out; the TW site is in Chinese now; tried the UK site and downloaded an empty file folder.

Drivers off the CD don't work, says "for Windows 2000/ ...

And the vista drivers wont install because of an "Unsupported OS" error.

And no way to unpack the drivers as far as I can tell, to set a manual install.

Any ideas guys?

I noticed that this site doesnt have a manual available for an AB9 Quad GT...i have one here if anyone wants it. I will attach it. I got it from a fellow abit folding wolves member. Just have to give me a link to email it to.

Just curious. I know some people from uabit.com were running Wolfdale (with mixed results) but I haven't seen anyone try Yorkfield. This assumes that you are running the latest beta BIOS.

Now that abit has died it appears my old trusty IC7-Max 2 board has a need for a new bios chip...anyone know where i can find one?
