I have been working Windoes 7 on my laptop and like it.
My PC has the Abit board that I noted here when asking about using Guru under Vista Business.
I was thinking about moving the system up to 64bit.
Is it time to make the move or wait for a few more years?

I'm looking for memory for my Abit AA8-DuraMax MB. I would like 2gigs { this is for mother-n-law + folding rig } and it doesn't need to be anything special. She just uses it for normal crap like email, Quicken,some games { basic stuff }.It is going to be used with a Intel Pentium 4 660 CPU. I won't be overclocking this at all.


What do you guys recommend ???

And the vista drivers wont install because of an "Unsupported OS" error.

And no way to unpack the drivers as far as I can tell, to set a manual install.

Any ideas guys?

I noticed that this site doesnt have a manual available for an AB9 Quad GT...i have one here if anyone wants it. I will attach it. I got it from a fellow abit folding wolves member. Just have to give me a link to email it to.

Just curious. I know some people from uabit.com were running Wolfdale (with mixed results) but I haven't seen anyone try Yorkfield. This assumes that you are running the latest beta BIOS.

Now that abit has died it appears my old trusty IC7-Max 2 board has a need for a new bios chip...anyone know where i can find one?

ok i have 1 slight problem and i guess it has to do with my over clock now. the 3.8ghz that i have gotten to be very stable and rock solid. but now with the new 4gig i just add and i have ran a memtest on it for over 2hrs. with no error at all. and i am in vista right now till i get this figured out and test some games with 8gigs ...

I was forced to reconstitute my PC under Vista and lost the ability to install the guru utilities.
My guru clock works. I have downloaded the XP utilities but they will not work under Vista.
Is it possible that uabit will give us a fix that will permit using those utilities with vista.My system is:
