How to ensure that the rubber/plastic seal stays?

Postby cas » Fri May 08, 2009 4:17 am

You know one have to remove the rubber or plastic seals before they can unscrew the screws holding onto a laptop lcd screen but then once u finish your work and place the screws and seals back, most of the time the seals tend not to stick any more.

What could we use to paste it back and ensure is easily remove in future again?

Never had that issue arise, but it seems like a thin layer of oil or vasoline would keep it moist and sticky.

If it's foam, try the vasoline. If it's rubber, try the oil. And I mean thin, like putting on thermal paste.
