Any one know or heard of the following seagate model issue?

Was told by other's from another forum whereby it mention those seagate model which i link here, has problem letting window or bios detect it and would need to flash the firmware.

Ok here is what happened....

Several models needed a Firmware update to prevent issues. Its a mixed bag, not a blanket...All Needed Fixing.

So you had to figure out there was a problem and contact SEAGATE, they would send you the firmware update to fix the performance issues....

What happened then was some experienced another issue after the update that prevented access to the drive. This caused people to think they lost all their information.

So now, if this happens, you again have to contact Seagate to get the firmware update to fix.
