Not a major hassle but it would be nice to know why...

If I put my PC to 'sleep' for a quick restart I find that my D: drive is then seen as removeable and Windows (Vista Ultimate x64) asks me what I want to do with the drive. I am now using the beta SP3 that Mr Chris gave links to and it is the same - I thought there might be something in there to cure it

If I do a full reboot all is normal again.

Main drive is WD SATA and 2nd drive is Maxtor IDE

Any ideas?

Sounds like a Controller driver, Power function, or a WD issues.

Start by turning off the feature that would allow it to put the HD to sleep. See if that changes it.

hehehe On another forum last week, someone said they install SP3 on their VISTA and never came back to answer any of the questions....it borked their OS into Reboot cycling.
