But no Publishers seem to care they want to spread the Damn Save game files all over you HDD, it's crazy, Steam should keep theirs in Steam apps always, a back up in the folder I mention above would be great too.
I wrote to steam Support and have been, they said the way I dropped the folder in my Formatted drive is fine but suggested doing this::
This rebuilds your account, and you (at least I didn't lose anything) wont lose nothing but built up Junk you never use anyhow.
I'm currently having in dept discussion with Steam tech Help Desk, and well keep you guys posted, doing what they said here Steam
is rebuilt, is short, your account is rebuilt. Something I'd suggest doing to anyone with a Steam account. Unless your running Win88 or something? LOL!!

I'll keep you guys posted. The biggest issue they have is Hijacked accounts, sad.
It has nothing to do with my saved games, HJ, I can't get Fallout3 to run![]()
The method described above is to rebuild your Steam Folder is all. Even if I had my save game folder which mysteriously disappeared, that would
have no effect on FO3 running or not, it's not the save Game files I'll looking into, it's fixing my game FO3, I think if I just start a new game that will work.
However while I'm at it I'm finding more stuff out just got some new emails from Steam will report more later.
Everything else is just fine.![]()

I guess I was not clear enough, sorry about that.![]()
I don't see how this will help you with your saved games if this is your goal? All this will do is salvage the Steam folder and rebuild the program so you don't have to downloaded everything again possibly.

ezeht wrote:Why do you need to reformat or even install w7 again- just update w7 and the sp1 it came out a few months ago. Works fine for me- it will save a folder incase you do have probs so you can fall back. I kept mine for like a month no probs and deleted it its like 92mbs.
You say format?- what install w7 again- if so why?
All you should have to do is run your system and update your lan- w7 installs the lan when you install the os- Id let it w7 update it lan if it wants too- sound and vid card should be fine. You only have to update the vid and sound if it has probs- and let all your programs and windows update- run some security scans and defrag is it.. W7 runs pretty clean- I do not know maybe your system has been off all this time so it should be good to go- just need some updates is it?
Hope so any way..
Get rid of everything start with a clean W7 install. Trust me,
W7 is smart, it will get recent drivers installed, all I do is install my vid drivers
