You folks that do not have this game are really missing something special and especially if you have a high end system and vid card. This game and or world is large and beautiful and is so much to do or see or find- its great.

Ya blue I can totally max the settings in game now and it is beautiful- utterely the most lovely game I have hands down and the game is also very fun. I can not say it is my very fav game but is a close second for sure. As far as the world goes and all you can do and hundreds of vihicles you can drive fly sail it is awesome. The grapple takes a lil getting use to and could never be in real life but it fits the game and is cool. I am not really into 3rd view games but jc2 is awesome and the world is huge- you can have a great time just flying around in a chopper or something and hunting for stashes. Gees the world or quests or stashes are endless and has like 200 vehicles you can fly drive or sail float how ever you word it. Sky diving free fall can ride rockets near into space and jump off can swim and the water is utterly beautiful. It has lovely tropics and deserts and snow covered mountains and areas you can run around in- it is such a large and near real looking world- you have to play it to understand it. It is so much to do and can do with the grapple and stunt stuff it is awesome. I wish it had co op then it might very well be my fav game. It is some dlc's that make it even more awesome and adds more vehicles and stuff- If I had the money I would buy all the add ons for it- it is that good a game.

I can not express how beautiful the game is- I can only say if you do not have it you are missing big time. It looked great before I got the 460 by the way. Its just now it looks even better and I can make some nice videos also with out any game lag while playing. Just cause 2 makes far cry like like dirt it is so beautiful. I think it is real cheap these days you guys should get it- it is not hard to play or complicated- I think you all would enjoy it- just flying or driving around and looking at the world is a game into its self it is so lovely.. It has some cool achievements also- the game is a trip fun as hell and did I say I have never seen a more beautiful game- tho I do hope to get dead island someday- I guess it is really lovely looking at screens and videos any way. I know for sure jc2 is the most lovely game I have or have ever seen is just the facts.

Check out some achievement videos on the tube or something like stunt flying and such- it is awesome and you can use your grapple to hang enemies and beat them or pull them behind cars or planes what ever- its a trip game- some hot asian babes in it also and near everything in the world is destructible other than larger buildings that is- but near everything else and trees and smaller building are destructible- it is cool as all get out- you would love the game. Cheap to you should pick it up for sure.

I wish to thank dave again for sending me jc2 and mafia2 which I love mafia2 also- but it m2 is more linear and has less replay ability but is an awesome game in its own right and it is also lovely- jc2 is the chit tho- thanks a lot dave.

I think ds2 and new vegas are great games also- and is nice to have some of the newer games- you guys look out and is very nice of you.. If I had the cash it is a few id buy now crysis2 and deus ex hr and dead island and would buy rage borderlands2 and stalker2 and bioshock infinity and being they are rps games or I think rage is not just a fps- I think it is also a rps game- me very fav genre.

I think I will go on and complete this. I have had it long enough yet not complete. It is no real reason why I have not finished it other than playing other games- being I have finished all of them I need to finish this 1 so I can say I finished it

After done with this I will do my last quest in sr3 and start a new game..

How are the controls, jerky or smooth, are all the Stunts hard to do!! You guys say driving cars is too hard, maybe not you, but

pulling the stunts off in Just Cause 2 has to be a BITCH!!!

I have Prototype (1) and it FREAKING ROCKS!!

Cars are fast- trucks and military stuff is slow. Fast cars are hard to drive- normal traffic is slow and no cruise control like sr3. Choppers are easy to fly jets are ok.

JC2 is real pretty- it is hard to really max it out with out maybe a 570 or 580 with 2 or more gigs of ram or sli maybe. I am playing both aa and af at 16x each but no ssao. Turn on the ssao its real pretty but my fps are 30-40 but can dip below 30 and lag. Not bad with out ssao I get around 50fps- it can still dip below 30 sometimes tho- it can with lower settings. You can go 32x aa my vid card cant. With enough system and max it out gees It is few any more pretty and its large- islands cities mountains deserts snow caps rain forests- the water is lovely and has boats all sorts of stuff. FPS will dip sometimes. All and all its great and runs and looks great.

The stunts are not hard to do- you get use to the grapple- its a cool game. It has over 300 vehicles of all types you can use- choppers are my fav. You can sky dive all sorts of stuff.. Key binds are not to bad- just a lot of them- so. It has some crazy auto save check points- you do not lose any progress in money or damage you do if you die or quit but might start back at the nearest controlled area or something- it has some save system manual but again it does stupid stuff I think its glitched. The normal auto checkpoint save works but again if you die or stop playing it will start you at a location at random or something- that might be if just roaming. If you quit or die in the middle og a quest it will start ya at the last check point with in the quest- and not kick ya back to the very start. It is check points and is odd but you do not lose everything like in mafia2 if you die etc.. It is and sounds confusing. The stupid check points is 1 thing that turns me off. It's a good game tho.

JC2 is a long game large world game- if trying to control everything do everything is almost never ending. You can do just the main quests and finish it a lot faster.

You would like jc2..

* Just a car below. You get some personal vehicles and can do some mods on them- not paint jobs or rims type stuff. Its basic for speed and armor etc. You have some cars bikes choppers boats and a lil jet to pick from and some weapons also and can upgrade the weapons. Its basic not a lot or as complicated as some other games. You can call in gear drops weapons or vehicles some stuff cost a lot..



These are my choppers or you will get them also- I like the small one best it is the fastest- not the most armor or best guns but its zippy->

SSAO AKA Ambient Occlusion, always was a frame rate killer. I tried it in Far Cry 2. It was beautiful, but cut the fps in half almost. Not really worth the performance hit. If this game looks as good as those screen shots, it's fine without SSAO.

That first little helicopter, in real life, is a Robinson. They make them at Torrance Airport, about 4 miles from me. I still have a pending job application with them. OK, hijack over. Now back to your regular Topic.

I notice the ssao adds more shimmer to things and better shadows and you can see heat and haze fx with it on. You notice a difference and it do have a hit but not 50% or on my system..

With my newer card I can turn on ao in farcry2 with no noticeable hit. JC2 and mafia2 both can have performance probs and fps dips- in general they run and look very nice.... You guys that do not record would notice even less.. All of our systems and or new vid cards should be able to do medium ao or ssao what ever they want to call it with out any probs.. I will guess mafia2 takes the largest or most noticeable hit- or do for me any way..

I ran a Benchmark on Mafia 2 maxed out, it's 30+ fps, perfect, get into the 20's and some GFX features can be set to Normal,

and I don't notice much difference in say AAX16 to AAX8, just always keep the rez at 1920X1080 that's most important in all

games. Plus I suggest running V sync with 60Hz refresh. V Synic keeps it clear looking no tearing, IMHO very crucial

But all my games I can max out and get at least 30+ fps (new GFX hard Engine games) . Your naked ete can't tell 30 fps from 300.

Well a bit, but no since in it. Again 30 fps is Optimal. Sure a gang of my games get 80-300 fps, what good doe's 300 fps do? ZIP.

I can look at a blank wall with out V sync on and get, hell 800 fps!! In many games....

Chris, DM and the like with the real nice vid cards could run Mafia2 with all bells and whistles on, maxed and still only get 40 fps average in Mafia2 (v-sync on).....

Not all systems can run vsync and 60fps. Some games lag if dip to low- recording puts another hit on it.. I think said tearing is over rated and has beed for years- people use it to force 60fps..

Most games are optimized for say 30fps- if they dip maybe 28 or 25 can lag like chit. Most keeping it 60 and above has nothing to do with what you see just keeping it high with lil dips and lag- some engines work more hard. Those extra fps are most handy for the mp folks- soon as you go on the net you get a hit. Some lower over all settings to keep the fps up- so.
