Well Chris~

You know me, I look in EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY of Games, I savor games, Excellent one's like BIOSHOCK 1 & 2, MP in BioShock2 Why?

Hummm, maybe it's cool, I have no clue. Anyone try it in MP mode? Dark Void is a Ball Buster, but I'm on a MISSION!! Folks talk sh1t about the game

primarily as it's not just an easy run through game. I like it as it's SP only. Also it's long. I don't care for the port work however.

12 Hours, hell that's Blazing through the game, LOL!! Me, maybe 40+ easy :D :o :P

Well Glad you liked it anyhow, Just Cause 2 looks good, Bad Company 2 as well. Batman Arkham Asylum IMO, is an EXCELLENT game, I'll get that one for sure.

I hate having to decide to Harvest the Little Sisters or Free them, man that's tough!! I LOVE those little darlings, so CUTE!! :Bananas:

im sure jealous looking at all them nice bio2 screens- also- it would look better on you guys systems- your systems are more powerful and most of you have high res wide screen lcd's too.. by the time i get bio2 you guys will have pretty much stopped playing it and playing some other game.. i should have waited and got bio2 before stalker cop..

any way. i will get the game sometime or another..

um 12 hours is not bad for first time play through. id maybe play it like that too- trying to learn the game- maybe main story line etc. and it has multi endings- 4 endings i think- and id guess you have to do different things for get certain endings.. and the more you search and hunt for stuff and take photos the more stuff opens up.. so. you have to play bioshock2 3-4-5x or more to really know it or how to play it.. know 1 can give a full review in just 1 play thorough.. too bad it had a few bugs starting out. but they are trying to fix it.. i cant wait to get it. it looks sweet.

have fun see ya.. :D :9:

well

i installed the game hours and hours ago- still have not started playing yet-- im trying to patch the dam game.. i dont know how to do it or even try to do it from gfwl- i dont know if it can do it or not.. i did start a new game to set it up. it starts and works- i normally patch all my games before i start playing them..

i downloaded the 1. 001 patch and well .002 patch too.. i really only want to install the 001 patch-- but 002 is only 2 kb or so larger than 001. i guess just fixes wide screen and some mouse button problem- i dont know if patch 002 includes all fixes in 001 either- and its a zip with 3 files in side and no frucking instructions on how to install it-- im about pissed off-- its the gfwl junk that messes it all up-- its not a normal exe patch install.. im not sure what to do- its dam stupid..

i just want to install patch defrag and play my dam games- not get a degree- or have to pull out my hair.. gfwl is the worst crap on earth.. i need help hours ago-- been hunting the net and bio2 site for how to install the freaken patch- i see no info no place-- its not a normal exe install- it should have frucking instructions..

this is in the zip- what the hell is the media cabinet thing- if not needed why is it in there-- again- no instructions

This must be a retail box version. If you got the game from Steam it would have been patched already. ;)

Make sure you have the latest version of GFWL. And, what happens if you double click on that "Setup" file? If the game is running OK, and the save games is working, then you should have no problems. The last patch was an MP thing anyways, didn't affect the SP game.

ya.. i have the retail box ver.

um im not sure what all that stuff in the file is.. the other file thing i clicked it it opened and had gfwl icons and stuff too- i know the large blue 1 is gfwl.. i dont know what to install or in what order etc.. i dont know why they include the media cab what ever it is-- just more chit to confuse and complicate things- and oh ya- lets not give any install instructions. ha ha.

ya- seems patch 2 is wide screen and some mouse button not working in mp-- but again- i dont know if patch 2 has all of patch 1 info or not.. if patch 2 has all 1 fixes id install most new- id like to try out the mp - if gfwl will let me connect from the game-- it would not when i tried-- but that might just mean i need to patch up.. i dont know- i might have to config my firewall and or my verizon router.. i dont know how to do either.. i only have this type of problem with gfwl-- everything else on my computer that i want to connect to the net- does.. but oh no- not gfwl- ha ha its comical.. :D

:D ive been playing the game since late yester eve.. no problems- runs great- high frame rates- it will slow down sometimes. i notice every so often- it keeps bumping the setting vsync to on- i dont use it and keep it off. i check it sometimes its right- other times its changed back to on. and i notice fraps fps- every time i save fraps fps is in a different corner and sometimes it dont show at all- then i save again or something - fraps fps display is back-- i like to see the fps while playing and when recording it turns red. i like to see and know its on / off etc.. other than that- it seems to work fine.. both fraps and the game work fine that is- oh ya- the start game movies have a lil studder.. but no sound probs in game..

bioshock 2 is beautiful.. ive had my first few lil sistas and saved them. and beat 2 brutes- the last brute i just got the research cam- and got the drill dash.. oh ya- ive killed 2 big sistas.. bioshock 2 is cool.. so far i cant say i like it more than the first bioshock..

oh ya- i love the trap rivets- ha ha i use them a lot- place them all over- and then can re collect any you come across or do not get used.. the guns take some getting used to.. i wish i could use a normal small + as a sight. well a lil larger than that . and im learning all the keys and rebind some others.. ha ha its a lot of keys playing this game.. but its cool.. :9:

Well ezeht, it's obvious the Media1 cab file (170mbs) is the update for the game as the other 2 files are way too small ( setup-74kbs & Title-858kbs) to do anything other than tell the media cab file what to extract & where to install it to.
I installed it via the setup file & it installed just fine.
No problems with the game after the installation either.

I'm playing the game again for the 6th time, but this time I'm selectively killing the major characters to get the different endings.
Btw if you didn't already know, there are 6 different endings to this game depending on who you kill in the game one of which is extremely depressing & sad.
The last game I played (game 5) I killed everyone & it had a very EVIL ending as well as cruel dialog from Eleanor...
Man she is so cruel once she sees you don't care about killing the little sisters or anyone else!!! wow...really different.
The amount of Adam you collect is more than you can use too....TONS!
I won't spoil if for you but it was completely different than the good ending when you save them all.
I'm almost to the ending of this game now & I'll see how it ends this time as I didn't kill Stanley or Gil this go around.
I'm looking for the abandoned ending which is the most different ending of all of them.
I'll let ya know what ending I get...

Erik, to this day, GFWL still says that my game key is invalid, so I can't play the MP even if I wanted. I have tried all the stuff that GFWL says to do, and what 2K says to do (Steam just says it's not there problem and to contact 2K and GFWL, LOL) But the last patch was basically for the MP.

well i ruined my game- now im going to delete and reinstall it..

i figured out what was blocking gfwl from connecting while in game- my sygate personal firewall was/is blocking it-- i turned off my firewall gfwl updated- and i guess patched the game- but i could not tell if it patched or not- the version number 1.0 never changed in the game gui.. so. i tried to install from the set up in the zip- patch 1.001 zip that is..

i figured patching id have to start a new game- the game started and i was playing and made my first hard save-- a lil later i tried to do another hard save the game crashed to dtop.. now when i try and start the game- the gfwl log on pops up-- i know it will not connect i have my firewall back on.. but when it tried to jump screen to say im off line- it ctd with the windows do you want to send to ms.. so- its all messed up-

it was running perfect-- im going to delete and reinstall and put my first saved games back in its folder and play the game i was at first-- i had just got the research cam.. gfwl sucks- 2k sucks for using it- they both suck for not having proper install instructions for patches etc.. i tried patching- its said to fix stuff- and i wanted to try out mp.. i should have waited and finished my first game and then try and patch--

i guess i need to config my firewall but i dont know how- and its 5 or 6 different things showing for gfwl in the firewall apps etc.. so- im not sure what to do or what exe what ever to try and open ports etc..- im not running my dam computer with out a firewall period-- i turnoff all my other security other than my firewall when gaming.. if i did not like bioshock so much and bio2 seems cool- id just take it back and get my money back and never buy 2k products again- same for fo3 for using gfwl junk..

so im going to delete the game reinstall and not patch or try and use gfwl- it should be same as before other than new gfwl client etc. i installed last night-- im afraid to un install gfwl stuff- because i have other games installed that use it too- tho i dont use the gfwl stuff and have not tried to play a mp game that uses gfwl-- then move my first save game back to proper place- i hope i can play with no problems-- if i have more probs- well - i dont know how to fix it- i will return the game and get my money back- and will curse 2k the rest of my life.. i just hope my game works so i can play sp at least..

its a dam shame- the game is buggy or has gfwl probs- i mean the stupid suckers did not even include wide screen support for gods sake.. no update instructions- no normal servers for mp- they cant even add a few lines of text in readme how to install- or say patch 1.002 has all fixes patch 1 001 has- nothing-- its all piss poor if you ask me..

see ya..

i deleted the game- and well- google is your friend..

i typed in sygate personal firewall and gfwl- its a number of hits. they have a long range of said fixes..

the most easy or simple i see yet was- turn off sygate and turn on windows firewall- or just to play gfwl games anyway..

im going to try that- thats easy enough- i will turn off sygate- turn on ms firewall and reboot-- i have to reboot after gaming anyway- i turn off my pest patrol anti spy ware etc- i cant restart it and have real time protections unless i reboot my pc-- if i just turn off modules i do not have to reboot system- but i close it all out for a lil more performance while playing-- my other security stuff- i can turn them on/off and not really have to reboot- they are basically still running in the back ground- just running lite.. the only way to stop them all together is set them not to load/start at boot up.

so- ms firewall- might ask to allow some things- i will say yes-- i think i read ms firewall- will make exception for gfwl.. its easy and worth a try..

anyway-- i was more testing last night to see what might happen-- as soon as it let me log on to gfwl- and before any updates- it kicked my saved game i was playing-- the saves was in right folder- but i guess gfwl sees that as a offline game- i could not go back to playing my game- so- i figured id let it update etc.. its possible- it all updated right and to most new patch- i dont know- its no read me's or no place i see a version number for the game or patch-- and 2 other things could have messed it up-- 1 turning back on my sygate fw put me back into offline mode- or it needs to change- thing is-i could not figure how to play off line if i was connected to gfwl- its all freaken crazy and confusing- and again support help or fixes are like pulling teeth--

2 when i tried to patch from the zip patched to 1001-- gfwl update was patch 1002- [not sure- i never seen version numbers] but maybe it did not like going back to older patch-- ut04 is no prob patching up or down-it does not hurt the game-- but some add ons maps or skins might not work in ut04 unless patched to later patch etc.. but the stock game- you can patch up down how ever and not hurt it..

i guess if games that use gfwl just worked right all would be cool- but in my opinion gfwl is a mess- it is the only service or program of the many and many games i have that has these problems.. so- its not me or my computer or the millions of other programs and games and services on earths fault that gfwl dont work right for most people-- its all gfwl fault and its sickening..

so- im going to install bio2 again now- well first change my firewalls and then install and see if i can connect to gfwl-- if it works all is good- i will play on line-- its just an added step changing out firewalls- i will set sygate to not load start with boot up etc.. being i reboot when playing and only have to do this playing gfwl games- its not a bad trade off- if it works-- ha ha if it dont work i will be pissed off-- i dont mind deleting installing the game a few times-- i just hope it deletes its self ok-- i deleted game and save folder in my docs and the 2k folder in my programs.. i just hope gfwl-- dont act up.. or at least let me do a fresh install and be ware i was before i started messing with it and can finish my last game- learn the game some- and then figure this other stuff out- id like to try out the mp game..

any way-- we will see- i love my bioshock stuff-- its the buggy junk that gets on my nerves.. :D
