Sm Mike bought it, also NbKan. Couple other guys from the old forum. I really have no comment

about the game, other than I don't think it's a FPS, per-say at all, though your lead to believe so, or I was, LOL!

Hellgate London IMO, was/is from what I've read, not so great. It's a Sorta FPS/RPG, mostly RPG, no where near as

good as FO3 and FC2, though to it's credit it does use DX10.

This review from a PC Gamer @GS sums it up well::

======================

Difficulty: Just Right
Time Spent: 10 to 20 Hours
The Bottom Line: "Almost, but not quite"

As you may know this game was created by some of the same crew that made the
Diablo series though they are not with Blizzard anymore. From that I expected something
great, the outcome, lacking... what went wrong?

The game offers a somewhat boring story line with a little amount of cut scenes to add
to the shallow story. There isn't a ton of progression.

The gameplay wasn't what I was hoping for. Sword play is nice but gun play is unsatisfying.
There isn't anything to the guns. NO POWER. Hard bosses is a nice thing. there are some
satisfying boss battles, and unique items.

Graphics.. iffy. at times things look pretty good, other times things don't look so good.
the maps lack any real taste for good design and after awhile things start to look the same.

What did I expect? Have you ever played Diablo? I sure have and I have gotten so addicted
I just couldn't stop until I got through one more act and it went on that way. i was hoping
for that. Ahhh didn't find it bummer.

What did i get? I got a game which lacks depth, satisfying gameplay, and ultimately the
addictiveness. It wasn't all bad. but as you can see I'm more of a pessimist.

=======================

I edited the Spelling and Sentence structure Otherwise it is as seen at the Site. ;)

GameSpot gave it a 7.0, which means they think it's good. It looks way to busy to me.
Too much HUD crap everywhere for my tastes.

When I see it at GoGamer for 5 bucks I'll maybe get it.

Hellgate was the reason I went to vsita 64bit. When the game first came out you couldn't play it at all. How I understand it was start by one company another one finished it. the game really love memory and that was system & video. Dx10 was bad in this game too. I like what Microsoft is doing is that the gaming companys and Microsoft can't get the Dx10 to work so we come out with Dx11. Or is the Dx11 the update that is going to fix all the problems. When they do go to Dx11 are we all going to have run out and buy new video cards like in the pass to support Dx11.

DM~

Well IMHO, anytime a game is started by one dev team and finished by another, there's going to be issues.

They do this as the First Publisher stops funding the Game, or sees no profit on the horizon, so they sell the

rights to the game and code etc. Cheap. Factor B, the publisher that buys the game, and the dev team they use

may or may not really care about Quality so much they just want to get it out the door as all the Hype and Advertising

has been paid for by the first Publisher. Then there's the release date, they want to meet the release date as all their vendors

are waiting, have pre-orders in place etc. At this point they just have to get the game out the damn door.

I think the best release date is TBA, or a general Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4 Date. if a publisher feels they need to do this.

They are pressured a lot, once a release date is given, and times that pressure by 10 if it goes to Pre-Order status.

I like "id" Release date= When it's done.

This I believe was the path of Hellgate London. Taking this path results in buggy games, simple as that.

Just what I think is all. ;) The Best games are done by folks that Concentrate one one title at a time. IMO.

All depends on the Capatol, Management and above all the Talent of the DEV teams.

Got what? The Animated film or the Normal Film format. Movie with real people on the screen?

I guess that's where I'm confused here is there going to be a Game to Movie Feature Full length

(Hollywood) Production, like say the DOOM movie with Dwayne Johnson or Max Payne with Mark Wahlberg?

I'm totally confused now.

It's animated. Manga is the same production company that did the cartoon series "Eon Kid" (yes I do actually watch cartoons) which was my fave this year until channel 5 CW pulled it. So EA is behind the movie but Manga is producing it. They are very big in CG animation. Chris.
