"Chaser" $1.25?

Postby Mr. Chris » Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:16 pm

You have to be kidding me. A buck and a quarter for a video game? On Steam, trailers look like another average shooter, but for less $$$ than a soft drink? Dayumn! :9:

It's a fun shooter, no quick saves, damn console port with stupid "climb/ sprint/ jump" manuvers. Hey, can't say much for a buck and a quarter! No built in AA, use the triple filtering, not the double, looks fine. I'll try and run FRAPS next time (I just forgot) and see what the frame rate is at 1920x1080 with everything on full. (yeah, screen shots, too. Duh)

Pffffffftttttt, found quick save (F2) and quick load (F3) You need to use "crouch+jump" to get up on that ledge above the boxes.

Oh, and avoid all electrical sparking. Instant kill.

SEGA is still hot, just now pretty much all console stuff.

There is a confusion going on, someone said the quick save and quick load was F2 and F3, someone else said it's F6 and F9. I haven't had time to go back into the game today to experiment. But, I'm stuck again on those damn boxes. Died again and got set back. Pffffftttttt. :(

CHASER PC GAME

Chasher is not a port number one. It was on PC only AFAIK, back when all PC GAMES used Quick saves, F1 and F3

are for what we used to call Solid saves, then quick saves are usually like F5 and F7, try that or it's very close to it, Solid

Saves have Save Slots, so more than one person can play the game, each person in the house can use there own SAVE SLOTS

or you (one person) can set several different saves, like at the Beginning of each Chapter and so on. So the game HAS both!! :9:

Oh and YES SEGA is still alive and well on the PC, Lost Planet ring any bells???

That's the WAY A GOOD PC GAME SHOULD BE, but is Chaser GOOD? AIR you can see your legs too. Which I always like adds more

depth to a game, IMO. Upon release it went through some patches for sure. Fine by me. Now they call everything a DLC, that's a

bunch of Crap I think. DLC's used to be FREE and Called Patches, in most cases. A great Game offers EXTRA content FREE!!

Example RTCW, it added a whole MP game to it, absolutely FREE, which went on to become one of the most PLAYED MP games

there has ever been. American GREED is what it is, nowadays. Don't get me startd on DEMO's, EVERY GAME worth it's SALT released

a BIG ASS DEMO so we could try the games, Not anymore!! You don't SEE any DEMO's, most say it's because they (publishers) are afraid of

Pirating, maybe that was true at one time. Not today, they can certainly release a DEMO with Cop[y Right Protection, it's not FREAKING

ROCKET science!! :banghead: Know this:: They would sell many more copies of their games if they released demo's!! Maybe they

figure folks might think their game SUCKS, so they DON"T want you too know until it's too late (you bought it). Bastages!! :rules:

I'll install Chaser though and as Chris said for a buck 25 who Cares!! Kudos's to STEAM!!

Actual In Game Shot!!

I'd pay more than 1.25 for this game, on a modern system it will get around 300fps Average!!

Yes you have to set (in your CP) the Game to Triple Buffering, if you can, if not use Double Buffering

today this is called anti-strophic filtering or simple AA, AF. What have you...without doing this the game may not run period

just to be safe set it to play in Win98 mode or XP. Tonight (sorry Chris) I'm going to PLAY my DEEP BLACK RELOADED DEMO.

I can't get past these stupid boxes. I have done it once, didn't save, and got set back. A member over at the Steam Forum is sending me a save game after the boxes. Now I just have to figure out how to implement it into my game. I have tried those move 50 times now and just can't get past it. Crouch jump, sprint jump, I just don't get it. I did do it once, beats me how I did it. Can't do it now for the life of me.

Chris,

You have to get into position on the top box, it's at am angle, then sprint crouch jump , quick save at the shortest distance on top box very highest area, the keep at it

you'll get it, I did and moved on. Refer to Diagram...

That is exactly where I am stuck, Jeff. That Steam Forum member didn't send me his save, and I really haven't tried at this point again yet. I'm running Binary Domain, ETQW, Railworks, Black Hawk Down, Quake 4. Not to mention watching Net Flix and all my favorites on You Tube. Heck, I'm a busy guy!

Well Chris,

At least now you know where you make your jump. Just figure the shortest distance and go for it, I'm not even certain you have

to crouch jump, I think it's sprint jump? Try both ways, it's not that hard really, I was stuck there as well, but saved at the very edge

of the top box that is at an angle, once I was in the right position it was a snap. Just come back here at view the image again to

make sure your on the correct stack of boxes is all...

You'll get it and see it's not that hard. Really. ;)
