He's hoping one of these days I'll give him my spare i7 machine. He has a great machine and one of these days I'll have to get him a good quad cpu. Maybe next year.

I havn't tried ET yet..but from what I heard..you can actually get it for free now and play on dedicated servers.

agree with you on this one Chris. I have 2 strikes in a row already(mw2 and black ops). I think I'll skip the next one to avoid getting strike out.

I'm happy with my machine, it does what I want. My ideal is if it's working fine..why need a upgrade. but hey..if the offer is on the table..why not?? hahahaha

cant really blame some1 for wishing for better I guess. All of what I have or get is normally give to me these days, being disabled and poor and all. Some is give to me new some used. I use what I can when I can. I am grateful- and even tho I might complain about somethings. I am always me.

Some might not understand. How can 1 get free stuff and complain. They might miss the fact or not know or know me. I give the good and bad in everything. I point out both. Seems more fair to me etc.. Bottom line, I am grateful, but too, we are entitled to like or dislike what ever we care too. It is nothing personal etc..

My last 2 mobos and cpu's and memory came from a bud here in the forums or carry over from abit real site before they went under, and other buds here have sent me things too. Tho I might not have used it all during my build. I have to buy other stuff to complete the builds etc. My abit kn8 and fatality was give to me with cpus and mem. With my kn8 came a x2 3800+ I bought a 4000+ said a better gaming cpu. Used it until I got my fatality an9-32x. Still running now. Well can. I had to rob some stuff for my new build. But I can and will get it running soon using my oem xp pro sp3 also give to me with the an9 mobo etc..

The kn8 and cpu was new. The an9 and cpu used but mem was new- and oem xp never used yet.. All are nice systems and still run. And manuals etc was a lot better more imformative than with my now msi mobo.. Folks at abit forums was much more helpful too.. I miss abit. Maybe these msi mobos will make me happy.

Everything in my sig below was just give to me or carry over, And have a new 7100rpm 250 gig sata III hdd on the way. And a few other things a lil better than my buds system because I game. More memory and lil better psu, but only like 50 bucks cost difference. Sweet I think. My bud here looked out big time. But I do build and maintain his systems for him. It is time for upgrades our stuff is old. He did not have to buy me new stuff or give me anything really. He looks out in other ways too. He is a great bud like I have others here..

He just spent the cash and bought 2 a like systems. I try and set them up near the same. It is more easy for me to fix any probs he might have. And we are both pretty much learning w7 at the same time. I had to show him a few basics etc so he can get around in w7 for his normal stuff. He can learn the rest as he goes. But he does not know how to install programs run scans, build systems add a vid card or hdd- nothing. Ha ha I am his IT guy I guess.. It works out nice for me. And I got him 2 sweet systems for under 2 g'ss. I could add a vid card and still be under.. Oh ya. Including the sweet lianli case and other 250 gig sata 3 I just ordered for his build. His old scorpion case is not going to like our corsair a50 coolers so. He has the bomb case on the way. Gees Id love to have 1 like it.

But If- I say IF, I ask the gods for anything else. It will be a new video card say a evga or sparkle with lifetime warranty nv 470 or later- maybe 480- but a 570 would be extra wonderful. Better and less heat etc.. I will not buy a ati tho. Less over all probs over the vast number of games using nv, and add physics, and less probs with sli versus cf, or best I read. I am a 1 vid card man my self, but an extra card running physics might not be a bad thing, so..

If I do get a new vid card. I will put my 8800gts ko 512 in my buds system. It is more powerful has more cores and better clock and cooler than his 9800gt. I will put his gt in my xp system and lower res monitor etc.. Good to go. And his vid card a lil better too. But he is just a normal user no games. So Its all good..

Wolfenstien ET is free, but it's an old game, the graphics look old, too. But there are still servers out there. Enemy Territory Quake Wars is what I play. My clan has it's own server. I think I gave out 7 or 8 of this game to friends, 4 I got free with video cards. The others I gifted thru Steam. We had a clan match against TAW yesterday, man they kicked our butts, but it was fun anyways. There is still a large ETQW community out there. Once in a while, you come across someone cheating, but that's what the BAN button is for. Most cheaters have moved on to MW2 and Black Ops, maybe Bad Company.

Right now, I'm replaying the FEAR series. And waiting for Mass Effect 3.

which clan are you with? my clan mainly Call of Duty Series...

you just remind me of something. from what I know..you can't actually kick/ban hackers through steam. have to wait until steam come out with a new patch. now compare to punkbuster..you can always do that with the console command or a 3rd party rcon software.

Clan name is "Bullet Hell" getting to be pretty big, about 20 members. Server name is Perfect Cherry Blossom, actually was PCB but our fearless leader changed the name to something funny for the Holidays.

ETQW uses Punkbuster, and one of our clan is a pretty talented programmer so he knows the config files pretty well. He actually created Nigel, a "kick bot" that watches the server when no admins are around. Pretty slick stuff.

EDIT: 28 members in our clan, and the server is "Immaterial Glacial Pandora" (will probably go back to the original name after New Years). Clan leader, "sereNADE" is kind of a strange guy, but he totally supports the ETQW community. The server bounces around between #1 in the world, and # 2 or 3. Too bad the game on Steam is still $20. You can find it for $5 on Amazon.com.

This is my final thought about Call of Duty now....
